REUNION - November 27, 2004 @ Hankerd Hills Golf Resort
I think fun was had by all 31 classmates that attended (and hopefully their spouses/guests too!). We had poster boards up with all attendees' names and 2-sided tape so they could put pictures of their "someone special's" (kids, grandkids, pets, etc) on the board. It was fun looking at all the pictures. We had poster boards up with all of the senior pictures of those who did not attend on them. There was a continuously running slide presentation of pictures that I scanned from all four of our yearbooks and other miscellaneous pictures that I'd collected. We also had a table of 70's memorabilia (record player, vinyl albums and records, listing of those in our class that were in the National Honor Society, listing of all 4 years of high school sports and how EJ Teams and individual players did, listing of music we listened to back then, Review of the 70's Life Magazine, listing of television shows that were on back then, etc. People brought pictures from high school with them and had them out for everybody to look at too). Because of a special gift given to us by one of our classmates, we were able to buy many "goodies" and give them to each classmate. We had votive cups/shot glasses that we had engraved with East Jackson Class of 1979 25-Year Reunion on them. We had a poinsettia for each classmate. We had pens and pencils engraved with East Jackson Class of 1979 on them, Christmas decorations with East Jackson Class of 1979 25-Year Reunion 2004 on them. We had disco ball key chains and happy face (or psychedelic) magnetic calendar/photo frames. There was 70's music playing and we had a very nice dinner. But, mostly everybody mingled and visited and caught up on what we all were doing.
If you would like a copy of any of the pictures from the reunion (more than what are on this website - this was all I could fit!), a copy of the slide show presentation or have any questions, comments, suggestion, please feel free to do so. My e-mail is below. Thanks! ... Julie (Kinch) Adair
