NEHASANE'S WINTER GEAR LIST *Denotes items that may be purchased at APnP.

  • Day Pack, at least 2,000 cu. in.
  • Nalgene lexan 1qt. loop-top bottle(s)* (figure on 1qt. per 5 or 6 miles)(usually filled with hot Gatorade*). Insulated bottle holder*.
  • Steel vacuum bottle* for hot chocolate; 1pt. for shorter/warmer trips; 1qt. for longer/colder trips.
  • Zipper thermometer*.
  • Pouch*; for most of the "10 essentials"*.
  • Sportseat*; self-inflating insulating pad to sit on (cheap sub would be a piece of closed-cell foam).
  • First Aid Kit incl. Ibuprophen & moleskin.
  • Space blanket/bag*.
  • Waterproof headlamp* w/spare batteries.

  • CLOTHING: Think a minimum of 3 layers for each part of body. No cotton in winter (can suck the heat right out of you when wet.)
  • APRES SKI: change of clothing.
