IMx Party Line Rules

  • Members wanting to unsubscribe from the list must unsubscribe themselves. This can be done by writing to imx-unsubscribe@topica.com or by visiting www.topica.com.

  • Though some rules are meant to help reduce the amount of mail that goes through the Line, you should be prepared to receive large amounts of mail each day. Do not complain to me or to the rest of the Party Line. The Line is a discussion list, and every message sent to the list goes to everyone on the list regardless of whom the message is for.

  • E-mails concerning personal issues with other members of the list are not relevant to the Party Line as a whole and may not be sent through the list. Do not send a message to both the entire Party Line and an individual member of the Party Line. It will be considered a personal message which is in violation of the rules.

  • Do not send messages which are disrespectful to other members to the Party Line. Do not argue on the line.

  • Advertisements for services, products, organizations, etc. not related to IMx may not be sent to the Party Line.

  • Please do not send messages as attachments. If you are sending a text message, please send it as part of the actual e-mail.

  • No chain message (any continuously forwarded message) may be sent through the Party Line.

  • No vulgar, rude, offensive, etc. language may be used on the Party Line. This includes such language used in attached messages/files and such language spelled using different characters.

  • No sexually explicit language or images may be used on or sent to the Party Line.


    Each member agrees to these terms simply by participating on the Party Line, regardless of how aware the member is of the terms. Violation of these terms may result in removal from the list.

    Members are welcome to suggest the addition, removal, or amendment of any rule. Changes must be sent to the list moderator (Arelia) who will consider them. After consideration, changes may be submitted to list members for consideration and a vote.

    These terms are subject to change at any time, at which time members are still held to the terms. Members may or may not be notified of changes as they occur.
