In early March I was a contestant on an episode of Win Ben Stein's Money . At that time, the other contestants and I addressed postcards to ourselves that the show promised to mail to us a few weeks before our episode aired. I never received that card; however, someone from the show phoned my home around early October and reported that my episode would be broadcast on Friday, November 24. That information proved to be incorrect. A few days before that date, I learned that no episodes at all of the show would be broadcast on that date, which was the day after Thanksgiving. I then began a furious effort to find out when my episode would air.A search of the Comedy Central website and email and phone calls to the network yielded nothing. Finally, on the following Wednesday evening, I came home late to learn, as I stepped through the door, that my episode of Win Ben Stein's Money had just aired. Great timing, huh? I missed it; however, Kathy taped it, so I finally managed to see it several days later. Stay Tuned. Win Ben Stein's Money tapes 130 new shows a year. Since they broadcast 3 episodes on almost every weekday, it follows that each episode must air 5 or 6 times. At this moment I know that my episode will be rerun on January 18, at 11:30 pm. I'm sure it will also be shown at other times. If I learn of other dates, I'll try to post them here. Meanwhile, keep your eye on the show, in case my episode suddenly appears without prior notification. That show should be easy to spot because it has a Gilligan's Island theme: The set is strewn with coconuts and palm fronds, and Stein is dressed as Gilligan. I'm the "Professor" (which, incidentally, accounts for much of my behavior on the show.) If you'd like to beat the system, check out Comedy Central's webpage for the show: http://comedycentral.com/bstein/ It contains a clunky pop-up window with a schedule of the show, but it isn't easy to use.
