HUMAN HEAD SCARE

The Times had reported previously that a human head had been found on one of the bridges in Pittsburgh by a bike messanger. This has turned out to be untrue, and may have just been a discarded Wendy’s bag. Again, we apologize for our previous story.

Nicholas Owens, 20, of Belpre, Ohio has graduated with an Associates’ degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Nicholas has already been accepted into the Bachelor’s program at the Art Institute, and has already started on his studies. During the ceremony, a power outage occured that completely blackened the huge Soldier’s and Sailor’s Auditorium. Lucky for Nicholas, his turn to accept his diploma occured long after the emergency generator kicked in.

For two hours before the ceremony, artwork and displays from students were available for viewing both in the main hall and in the balcony areas. Nicholas is majoring in Graphic Design, which emphasizes marketing art for every industry imaginable. Graphic designers work in newspapers, magazines, print houses, and at almost every major manufacturer in the world.

NICK REPLACES HEAP

Belpre, Ohio
December, 2001

Nicholas Owens has replaced the heap he was previously driving back and forth to Pittsburgh. The car, a 1987 Isuzu I-Mark, was known as “Rhubarb”. Despite it’s flapping fenders and charming “puff of smoke in the passenger compartment”, it was replaced with a
1993 Pontiac Sunbird in very good condition. Nicholas promises not to ramp the new car, or drive it through farmer’s fields. His father, Arlen, regrets ever telling Nicholas about his own high school ramping experiences in a 1961 Buick Special.
