facilities, watch the drivel that is SNL, whatever."
Sunshine Marigold grins.
(Sunshine Marigold tosses an acoustic guitar over her shoulder and plays a 
few chords before swinging into the music.)

Sunshine squints.

(Sunshine Marigold glances around with something close to contempt.)

weaving a thick ribbon through her quiet words.)

(Sunshine Marigold stares at an empty spot on the floor, as if seeing her 
memories being played out.)

Sunshine Marigold sings:

Sunshine Marigold gulps.

(Sunshine Marigold shakes her head forcefully.)

She sees a large vase with bears and beautiful birds painted on it. She runs 
her fingers over the surface lightly.)

(Mimi Marquez looks a bit thoughtful for a moment and smiles softly.)

(Mimi Marquez wraps her arms around herself and sighs, lost in a daydream.)

Suddenly they come out of the painting and dance around her like a beautiful

slip a pearl necklace around her neck.)
(Mimi Marquez smiles. One of her sisters takes her hands and whirls her 
around. Suddenly her ragged torn dress turns into a beautiful ball gown.)

(Mackenzie Taylor shivers as a young boy in blue walks out on stage and sits 
alone in a corner, crying softly to himself.)

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "They'd all seen the headlines
     About Bobby and his wife

(Mackenzie Taylor glances to the opposite side of the stage where lights 
flicker on, illuminating a man sitting alone in a cold, grey jail cell.)

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

     They'd hear him sing his song...
     He'd sing..."


Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "Baby I'll take care of you, I'll never let you down
     No harm will ever come to you, as long as I'm around

(Mackenzie Taylor sighs sadly watching the man rock back in forth in his 
jail cell alone before the light dims on him and lights the other side of 
the stage where another man sits amid a pile of old newspapers.)

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

     Grew up to be a man
     When he fell in love himself,
     He came to understand"


Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "How it was that Bobby took the life they both adored
     Cause Bobby couldn't stand to see her suffer anymore"

     From the trunk beneath his bed
     And all the years just disappeared
     As through his tears he read"


Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "The stories of the accident that robbed his mama's mind
     And the man who held her in his arms

(Mackenzie Taylor gazes out at you as the entire stage lights up and you see 
one man weeping, clutching tattered newspapers and across from him an older 
man, rocking and singing to himself in a lonely prison cell.)

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

     No harm will ever come to you, as long as I'm around
     I am not afraid of what people say or do
     The only thing I fear is being here

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "The young man drove his car up,
     And parked outside the gate
     They led him to a cold grey room,
     The guard told him to wait"


Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "When the guard brought Bobby in,
     The young man finally knew...
     He still missed his mama,
     But he'd missed his Daddy too"

(Mackenzie Taylor turns and behind her you see the two men standing across 
from one another, tears in their eyes.)

Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "And when the guard left the two of them alone
     He took Bobby in his arms, and the young man sang this song..."


Mackenzie Taylor sings:

    "You have taught me not to fear what people say or do
     The only thing I fear is being here
     Without you"

(Mackenzie Taylor smiles out at you as the men embrace tighly behind her.)
Mackenzie Taylor stands back up.
Mackenzie Taylor curtsies.
Najasa Gelain allows the audience to cheer and applaud.

Najasa Gelain motions for Sinder Rose to begin.
Sinder Rose says, "the first thing I would like to say is I am SO sorry for 
that Mack"
Sinder Rose grins.
Sinder Rose just hugged Mackenzie Taylor.
Sinder Rose exclaims, "Anyway, I am going a song from Grease called There 
are Worse Things I Could Do. Most don't know it, but I like it, so ha!"
(Sinder Rose holds her schoolbooks close to her as she walks down the hall 
of the high school, looking down at the ground, remembering how her friend 
betrayed her by telling everyone she was pregnant. Suddenly a group of girls 
come past her. They all look at Sinder, and when they pass her, the lead 
girl says to them, "That's the one I was telling you about!" All the girls 
start to giggle as they walk out to the parking lot.)
(Sinder Rose keeps walking toward her house when Sandy, the person that she 
made fun of and was never really nice to came up to her, "Rizzo." she 
started, "I know we haven't been the best of friends, but if you need 
anything ")
Sinder Rose asks, "You think I don't know what people are saying about me?"
(Sinder Rose watches as Sandy lets out a little sigh, shrugs a little,  turns 
around, and starts to walk away.)
Sinder Rose says, "Hey"
(Sinder Rose watches as Sandy turns toward her with her eyes raised a little 
in surprise.)
Sinder Rose says, "Thanks"
Sinder Rose smiles at Sandy, who in turn, smiles back, and leaves. Sinder 
then starts to slowly walk home again, and the Karaoke machine starts to 
play a soft and pretty tune.

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "There are worst things I could do"

(Sinder Rose sighs and glances around, watching everyone looking at her as 
they point and laugh. She was betrayed. Betrayed by her best friend. "I told 
her not to tell ANYONE I was pregnant. Was that too much to ask?" she 
thinks to herself.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "Than go out with a boy or two"

(Sinder Rose remembers when she found out she was pregnant. "I could do many 
wrong things, but I haven't.  How come I have to get punished for something 
so small?")

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy
     And no good"

(Sinder Rose remembers the jokes about her, the people pointing and laughing. 
She then frowns.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "I suppose it could be true
     But there are worse things I could do"

(Sinder Rose pauses for a moment, thinking about what those things could be.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "I could
      flirt with all the guys
     Smile at them and
     Bat my eyes"

(Sinder Rose glances at the cutest guy in the audience and winks at him. He 
blushes a little as he smiles. You notice his friends cheering him on. Sinder 
just frowns and continues to walk.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "Press against them when we dance
     Make them think they stand a chance"

(Sinder Rose imagines the look on the guy's face as she sweeps him off his 
feet with her flirting and great dance moves.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

(Sinder Rose imagines then dumping the guy and smiling as he begs for her 
back.)

Slightly off-key, Sinder Rose sings:

    "That's a thing I'd never do"

(Sinder Rose wipes that image out of her mind.)

(Sinder Rose walks a little more with a dazed look in her eyes, imagining a 
dull life at home with only dreams, and nothing more but darkness.)

(Sinder Rose pictures the perfect man with dark brown hair, baby blue eyes, 
and a smile that could light up the darkest room in the world, and frowns as 
she realizes that could never happen.)

(Sinder Rose wipes the image from her mind of a life with dreams and nothing 
more. "I mean, exploring is part of life, right? You can't just expect Tom

to look around!")

(Sinder Rose imagines herself coming up to her best friend and punching her
