Please note the special day and time! This Forum will cover information concerning all characters, so this is your opportunity to get the information straight from the source. Please don't miss it! You see a dark form in the corner of your eye, and turn to see GameMaster Trevor Rage heading toward you. He taps his shades a bit further back on the bridge of his nose and smiles slightly. GameMaster Siri Macallan came through a pair of wooden doors. Siri Macallan waves. Trevor Rage says, "Alright.. I'm gonna go ahead an throw down the cone and do some jabbering about everything." Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage calls the assembly to order. After a moment the crowd quiets down. Trevor Rage exclaims, "Welcome to the forum for skills reallocation!" Siri Macallan beams happily. Trevor Rage says, "I know this is a hot topic for many, and I'd like to take the opportunity to explain it all, list out some options and field questions." Trevor Rage says, "Alright.. as you all know.. we're looking over two kinds of reallocation." Trevor Rage says, "One of these is the partial style, where skill points are thrown in various categories by themselves.. you yourself would do very little planning and allocation of points." Trevor Rage says, "The second method is full reallocation.. in this method, you're given a heap of points and you spend them any way you want." Trevor Rage says, "Now.. there have been some recent concerns, because some players seem to be imbalanced. We have players that are quite young in terms of levels, yet have tons of points.. and so on." Trevor Rage says, "To this end, I have formulated two new options for reallocation and would like input from everyone on them." Trevor Rage says, "The first method.. is partial reallocation.. with a twist." Trevor Rage says, "The second method is full reallocation, also with a twist.. I'll get into those in a second." Trevor Rage says, "What we came down to is this.. we have one hand.. a lot of players who really want to keep their skill points. We understand that." Trevor Rage says, "On the other hand, the game balance means a lot to some, including myself. So,.. in an attempt to balance out the game without being duly unfair either, we're presenting these two options. You'll have the chance to choose your preference via voting.. but only one of these is going to 'win'." Trevor Rage says, "It would be a technical nightmare to allow some people to do full and others to do partial." Siri Macallan says, "Aside from being very unfair." Trevor Rage nods to Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage says, "So.. only one will be chosen.. Both have their balancing aspects as well as enticing reason to choose them." Trevor Rage says, "Method one.. partial reallocation." Trevor Rage says, "Your skill points are counted up. The points that belong to a skill we're removing will be put somewhere else, with a few exceptions." Trevor Rage says, "You will retain all of your points, but you will have very little say in where the freed points go. You will, however, have a small package of points to spend as you like, but this will be a very small amount." Trevor Rage says, "Most of those points will be spent by the game.. the game will decide where to place them." Trevor Rage says, "Method two.. full reallocation." Trevor Rage says, "This represents the most game-balancing option." Trevor Rage says, "Everyone's skills are wiped to zero. Then, we give you a flat amount of points to spend, based on your level. I've worked that number out to 77 points per level. You can spend these points as you like." Siri Macallan says, "Let me interject something ..." Siri Macallan says, "Before everyone totally freaks out." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage nods to Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "First, there are several reasons that skill reallocation was put forth a year ago, and we asked if it was cool by the players ..." Siri Macallan says, "One was overall game fairness." Siri Macallan says, "Several professions are severely handicapped in skills and in their ability to gain new ones under the current system." Siri Macallan says, "This has been the way it is since day one." Siri Macallan says, "And it, frankly, sucks." Siri Macallan says, "There is NO way to take a character who is ancient, and a Sleuth or an acadamian, and make their skill points equal to that of a SA or a PI." Siri Macallan says, "We've been doing the math, and there simply is no way to balance it out so that the unfair system we started with becomes fair ..." Siri Macallan says, "So ... we've come up with the two options. Either we give everyone more points than they'd normally have per level, including the teaching points ... and WE decide where they go based on what you've already trained on ..." Siri Macallan says, "Or you get a set number of points based on what is fair all the way around (meaning INITIAL points -- the points given to you when you first came into the game -- are removed) and YOU decide where to put them." Siri Macallan says, "That's the difference." Siri Macallan says, "The initial points based on age and profession." Siri Macallan says, "None of us actually earned those points, they were "given" to us as freebies when we first rolled up our character, but it still sucks to lose them." Siri Macallan grins. Siri Macallan says, "So it comes down to if you want to keep them, we figure out where the points go. If you're willing to get rid of them, YOU figure out where your points go." Siri Macallan says, "That way a Sleuth with a zillion points in EVERYTHING can't decide to move it all over to combat." Siri Macallan says, "That would be totally unfair." Siri Macallan says, "Back to you, Trevor." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "Alright.. now, about these points you can spend.." Siri Macallan says, "Remember folks, think of FAIRNESS overall." Trevor Rage says, "Remember that when we say 77 points per level, we're not talking about 77 points where this skill takes 4 pts to raise, the other takes 1, and some other takes 2 pts to raise. Every skill takes 1 point to raise." Trevor Rage says, "Based on that premise.. 77 points per level is quite a bit." Trevor Rage says, "Now.. some other limitations I want you all to keep in mind.." Trevor Rage says, "This applies to any type of reallocation.. " Trevor Rage says, "First of all, no skill can go over 500 points." Trevor Rage says, "Second of all, no skill can be raised more than 4 points per your level. You can't have 400 points in knife fighting unless you're 100th level+" Trevor Rage says, "Any points that go over either of those caps will become free points to spend." Trevor Rage says, "This is to prevent level 20 players from having skills at 500 etc. Let's face it.. if you're level 50 and you have a nice swing, you don't want to see some kid level 20 doing as good or better." Trevor Rage says, "So.. to reiterate your options .. you can (a) go with partial. This means you keep all those points (most of which were given to you at level 1 for free).. but you have little control over how they are spent." Trevor Rage says, "Or (b) you get a flat 77 points per level and spend them as you like." Trevor Rage says, "Now.. as far as teaching goes.." Siri Macallan says, "Another thing to remember, and Trevor has mentioned this ..." Siri Macallan says, "Before if say dancing cost you 4 points for 1 point of skill, now it will be just 1 point for 1 point." Siri Macallan says, "No matter what." Siri Macallan says, "So those points are going to go a lot further." Trevor Rage says, "With partial reallocation, you will not lose any teaching points but they may or may land where you want them. With full, you may or may not lose those points.. it depends on how many total skill points you had before you reallocated." Trevor Rage says, "Everyone can type REALLOCATE PARTIAL and REALLOCATE FULL to see what your skills would look like." Trevor Rage says, "I updated that just a short while ago, so it's different than it was." Trevor Rage says, "I'm going to lift the cone.. please just take the time to check the reallocation numbers.. no questions yet." Trevor Rage opens the floor back up for general discussion. >reallocate partial Your skills after PARTIALLY reallocating would be: Acrobatics: 82 Artistic Ability: 228 Archaeology: 139 Archery: 20 Blunt Weapons: 77 Climbing: 104 Crafts: 32 Criminology: 120 Culinary Arts: 30 Dancing: 67 Earth Science: 296 ESP Ability: 101 Economics: 70 Evasion: 104 Explosives: 49 Fencing: 47 Firearms: 218 First Aid: 110 Fishing: 35 Forensics: 120 Grappling: 0 Humanities: 32 Kicking: 0 Knife Fighting: 98 Laboratory Science: 296 Musical Instruments: 94 Nautical: 26 Occult Studies: 177 Paired Weapons: 0 Pilfering: 92 Prowling: 0 Punching: 0 Research: 296 Scuba Diving: 120 Security: 182 Singing: 121 Sports: 79 Swimming: 99 Teaching: 0 Throwing: 0 Thrown Weapons: 75 Urban Tracking: 120 Two-Handed Weapons: 0 Zoology: 82 You would have 1750 points left over to spend as you like on skills. Allan Bullest exclaims, "With pleasure!" Allan Bullest grins. Armand Chascour sobs. Matt Browne says, "i thought that we would keep our levels with partial" Trevor Rage calls the assembly to order. After a moment the crowd quiets down. Siri Macallan says, "I will remind everyone that we could always just pull what the other Simu games have done ..." Siri Macallan says, "And that's wiping the database entirely." Trevor Rage says, "You will keep all your levels. You're not losing levels." Eve Roquelaure exclaims, "That's a good idea, Siri!" Siri Macallan says, "I don't personally like that one." Siri Macallan says, "So we're trying to make it as fair as possible to everyone." Trevor Rage says, "Alright.. I think I'll take a couple questions unless you have anything else to interject first, Siri." Trevor Rage smiles. Luca Santiago stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "The only thing I'm going to reiterate is that we're trying to make an inequitable system fair for everyone." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage just tickled Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage nods. Luca Santiago asks, "umm it is possible to revote?" Trevor Rage says, "Yes, we are." Trevor Rage says, "We're going to revote, yes." Siri Macallan says, "We haven't voted yet, Luca." Siri Macallan smiles. Luca Santiago says, "thanks" Trevor Rage says, "This is all new information, so the prior votes on partial/full don't apply." Having finished addressing the assembly Luca Santiago sits back down. Elysia Francois stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage smiles. Elysia Francois says, "First, Excuse me for sounding presumptious, but I thought the initial objective of this points reallocation was to rid the system of unused areas, not to mediate in the realm of fairness. " Having finished addressing the assembly Luca Santiago sits back down. Siri Macallan says, "It's always been about both." Elysia Francois says, "Though in the heading for the system reallocation it lists only one I believe." Elysia Francois says, "When the initial vote came out." Siri Macallan shrugs. Siri Macallan says, "It's always been about both." Elysia Francois says, "It seems like a very big gap." Siri Macallan asks, "Would you rather play in an unfair game, Elysia?" Trevor Rage says, "Not to be sarcastic, but to illustrate a point here.. we do need both. If balance wasn't an issue we'd just give every 500 in everything and be done with it. We want fairness and fun.. and it's hard to strike a perfect balance." Siri Macallan asks, "Or be in a game where everyone has the same chance?" Elysia Francois says, "Furthermore, I am really distressed at the classification of fairness, which brings me to another point." Siri Macallan nods. Elysia Francois says, "Which answers your question as well." Elysia Francois chuckles. Elysia Francois says, "I raised various aspects of my character stats through implementing teaching." Elysia Francois says, "I am a lower level than most on the island, however, the teaching aspect was available to all. It was up to each individual to partake." Elysia Francois says, "Granted, I may have a higher score than someone who is level 20, but that is because I did work hard for those points." Elysia Francois says, "I don't feel I should be punished by being a lower level when they had the opportunity to invest more time into raising their levels as well." Siri Macallan says, "The points which are being removed are not what you earned from teaching." Siri Macallan says, "They are the points which were given at the start of the game for age and profession." Elysia Francois says, "Right, however, I do have a limit of 52 in each respective category." Elysia Francois says, "That considerably lowers points I worked hard to earn. I don't foresee that as being fair." Siri Macallan says, "No, I can see that." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage says, "You're not being punished. Let me point this out. Your skills are approximately 12% of the overall max allowed under the new system. Your level is 6% of the overall max allowed. So.. you have twice as many skill points as you should have for your level, basically." Elysia Francois says, "I understand, again that we're not being punished, but since fairness is an issue, and you confused me horribly Trevor just now, I just thought I would bring that issue up." Elysia Francois chuckles. Trevor Rage nods. Elysia Francois says, "I just foresee a very large problem with the cap via per level." Siri Macallan asks, "Which is?" Siri Macallan says, "After reallocation, I mean." Elysia Francois says, "Well earlier you mentioned that we could gain 4 points in each subject per level." Trevor Rage says, "Teaching is an issue in that currently a player could gain a million points in any given skill if they wanted to, by teaching. But this isn't a practical trend for a game to continue. I'm sure you can see some value in limiting how skilled a player can be at certain stages of his or her life." Siri Macallan says, "Currently, you can only raise four per level." Siri Macallan asks, "Except by teaching. That is what you meant, Elysia?" Elysia Francois chuckles. Elysia Francois says, "Okay too many fronts to comment on." Trevor Rage chuckles. Elysia Francois says, "Let me address Trevor's comment really quick." Elysia Francois smiles at Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan nods to Elysia Francois. Siri Macallan smiles. Elysia Francois says, "Teaching I could understand would be unfair if it was limited to a particular group of players. Such as the academians or the secret agents, however..each and every player does have the option of learning." Elysia Francois says, "I merely used that aspect to my advantage." Elysia Francois says, "What I am saying is, if you are level 50, and you trained and what not, but did not use all the resources at your disposal," Elysia Francois says, "that's fine, but under this system, because you are higher level than I am, you the better deal." Elysia Francois chuckles. Elysia Francois asks, "Did I make sense?" Trevor Rage says, "Teaching was not meant to be a tool to give you super mega skills." Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "It was meant to be for RP purposes, an extra way to gain noto and a way to even out your skills if you were underskilled for your level." Elysia Francois says, "Well, teaching was meant to advance various players." Siri Macallan asks, "Various?" Elysia Francois says, "those who took advantage of the system" Elysia Francois says, "meaning learning" Elysia Francois chuckles. Siri Macallan says, "Who used it, I think you mean." Siri Macallan smiles. Elysia Francois nods to Silvana StoneSkye. Elysia Francois nods to Siri Macallan. Elysia Francois says, "and it frustrates me because I devoted a lot of time, not so much maybe as other players...but a fair share" Siri Macallan nods to Elysia Francois. Elysia Francois says, "to helping advance various skills." Siri Macallan says, "I can understand that." Elysia Francois says, "and with the new system, I lose a lot of that effort and time." Elysia Francois says, "that's all I am saying" Elysia Francois smiles. Trevor Rage says, "You're speaking as if teaching is some secret weapon you discovered and you feel we're taking it away. Teaching is not meant to be anything more than a useful tool. It's not meant to imbalance characters." Elysia Francois says, "Well, I don't really see it as imbalance." Elysia Francois says, "It was a resource, again, open to everyone." Elysia Francois says, "I can't help that higher level players may not have learned as much as I have." Trevor Rage says, "Open to everyone very recently, yes." Siri Macallan says, "I will say, if anyone can come up with a forumlua that allows everyone to keep all their points, and also balance the game and be fair to everyone, I'll be delighted to see it." Trevor Rage says, "As will I." Trevor Rage grins. Elysia Francois says, "I believe the first prospectus accomplished that." Siri Macallan says, "But it didn't." Elysia Francois asks, "How so?" Siri Macallan says, "It's not fair." Elysia Francois says, "I guess I'm not understanding that fully." Trevor Rage says, "I think you have far more skill points than you should have at your level, Elysia. There are players twice your level with the same amount. I don't see that as something I can morally defend, as much as we all dislike losing points." Siri Macallan says, "The first formula gave some people more points, and removed points from others." Siri Macallan says, "And that's not any more fair than what we have currently." Elysia Francois says, "There are a lot more people behind in line.." Elysia Francois chuckles. Siri Macallan says, "Thanks for sharing your view, and concerns, Elysia. I appreciate hearing them." Trevor Rage says, "The first prospectus was a nice attempt with fancy math.. but in the end, it didn't work." Having finished addressing the assembly Elysia Francois sits back down. Alec Harlequin stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Alec." Alec Harlequin grins. Trevor Rage smiles. Alec Harlequin says, "Hi Siri." Alec Harlequin says, "Hi Trevor." Alec Harlequin says, "Alright.." Trevor Rage says, "Greets." Alec Harlequin says, "Now.. this is just an I idea I've been tossing around.. oh.. 30 seconds, so feel free to slash it down." Alec Harlequin says, "Before I make my other points, most of which were covered by Elysia." Alec Harlequin grins. Siri Macallan nods. Siri Macallan says, "Why not make the new ones." Siri Macallan smiles. Siri Macallan says, "We have a lot of people in line." Siri Macallan grins. Alec Harlequin says, "Now.. the beginning stats aren't overly fair, I'll give you that.. secret agents could begin at thugs where some couldn't even take like.. brawlers." Alec Harlequin grins. Alec Harlequin nods. Alec Harlequin says, "I'll be quick if I can." Alec Harlequin asks, "Okay quick question before I get to the point.. in full reallocation, the cap on the skills would be 4 times your level?" Trevor Rage nods to Alec Harlequin. Alec Harlequin asks, "So.. we do full reallocation.. my evasion drops from 140 something to 44?" Trevor Rage says, "At level 11? Yes. Perps will also be balanced accordingly." Alec Harlequin says, "Okay.." Alec Harlequin asks, "So would that be the same for partial?" Trevor Rage says, "Yes." Trevor Rage nods. Alec Harlequin asks, "I saw I have 44 in a lot then like roughly a thousand points more.. are those to be allocated how I wish?" Alec Harlequin asks, "Or just in what is below 44?" Trevor Rage says, "The ones to be allocated as you wish are .." Trevor Rage says, "a) from skills over the 4 pt/level cap" Trevor Rage says, "b) skills over 500" Alec Harlequin says, "Right.." Alec Harlequin asks, "And that can go wherever I want it to?" Trevor Rage says, "c) skills that are not automatically put in some other skill, like unarmed." Trevor Rage says, "As long as you adhere to the 4/level skill cap, yep" Alec Harlequin asks, "So I could put everything at 44.. and that's it?" Alec Harlequin asks, "Even in partial?" Alec Harlequin says, "I didn't do the math or anything, but I'm relitivly sure I'd have some points left over even after putting all my skills to 44.." Trevor Rage says, "If you have enough points for it, yes. However.. if you have free points left over after everything is 44, you would be able to allocate the remaining points without the 4/level cap" Alec Harlequin says, "Ahh.." Alec Harlequin frowns. Trevor Rage says, "I'm not gonna kill excess points just because you've hit the cap." Trevor Rage chuckles. Alec Harlequin asks, "So what is the purpose of profession when all the skills become equalized with this reallocation?" Alec Harlequin asks, "Simply RP value?" Trevor Rage says, "Profession will be only of RP value once we go with the new skills." Trevor Rage says, "You'll be able to change your profession at will, based on your skillset." Alec Harlequin says, "And in that system.. the some 50 hours I've spent sitting around learning evasion will be spread through a bunch of junk I never use.. that doesn't seem right." Trevor Rage says, "You can a Secret Agent today, a PI tomorrow, a Coroner the next day.. that's up to you and how you want to RP." Alec Harlequin nods. Alec Harlequin says, "Yea I remember you mentioning that a while back." Siri Macallan says, "You all do realize that once PvP comes in, even in its limited form, you're not going to want some 5th level SA kicking your 25th level acadamian butt." Siri Macallan says, "So this all is going to matter beyond perping and mystery-related skills, if you go into that sort of thing." Trevor Rage says, "The fact that you have 2242 skill points at level 11 doesn't seem right either.." Trevor Rage grins at Alec Harlequin. Alec Harlequin says, "But still.. all the time we've spent teaching and learning in specific areas becomes spread to stuff we really couldn't care less about" Alec Harlequin says, "Alright.." Alec Harlequin says, "Check this out." Alec Harlequin says, "Rather than putting all these caps so low.." Alec Harlequin says, "In a full reallocation senario you could simply cut out what we started with, or a large portion of it, and leave the rest for reallocation with a given limit set maybe a tad higher than 4 per level. Not insanely high, but much higher rather." Alec Harlequin says, "This would keep things in balance, people can skill what they want to skill.. and profession becomes strictly RP because no one is controlled by what they started as." Alec Harlequin asks, "What would be the problem with that?" Trevor Rage says, "To be very frank.. I want this skill system balanced. So, for the right to spend your points any way you want, I want the right to balance them across the levels in return." Alec Harlequin says, "Right.. I see your point where one person with 1000 points could go 500 blunt 500 evasion and be a little God.." Alec Harlequin says, "So you put a cap on it.. but not as low as 4 per level.. because.. seriously.. that's really really low.." Trevor Rage says, "It's no lower than it's always been, aside from teaching." Siri Macallan says, "Alec, that's not really low. If you don't count teaching, that's what you've got now." Siri Macallan chuckles. Alec Harlequin asks, "44?" Siri Macallan says, "What Rage said." Trevor Rage says, "And aside from that.." Alec Harlequin says, "Plus what I started with naturally.." Trevor Rage says, "Don't bear on what those points mean to you as-is. It's all going to change." Alec Harlequin says, "Okay.. so numbers will all get lower, you mean.. in combat situations and whatnot." Trevor Rage says, "A thug with 300 body points, 120 evasion and 120 blunt today may have 100 bp's 60 evasion and 60 blunt tomorrow." Alec Harlequin says, "That makes sense, and it seems good, but then teaching becomes the most blatent problem.. because really it's realistic that someone who spends a significant amount of time sitting around learning is going to be as good as someone who went out and practiced a whole lot.." Trevor Rage says, "Sure it is.. but there comes a point where you draw the line on realism." Trevor Rage asks, "Perma death is realistic too. Want that?" Trevor Rage grins. Alec Harlequin grins. Eve Roquelaure chuckles. Alec Harlequin says, "Okay okay.. let's be reasonable here.." Alec Harlequin grins. Trevor Rage chuckles. Alec Harlequin says, "Alright.. man spends 50 years in the field.. he's going to be great at.. a whole lot of stuff" Trevor Rage says, "I mean.. one round with a few shotgun toting perps and you'd either be death or hurt so badly you'd never hunt again IRL." Trevor Rage grins at Alec Harlequin. Alec Harlequin says, "Newbie spends what.. 400 hours in classes.. he's going to be great also.. but in that ONE thing" Alec Harlequin says, "And really he loses out int he end, because 400 hours he can get far ahead.. what 400 grand noto if he keeps at it.. so it is balanced in it's own way" Alec Harlequin says, "Of course I'm rounding quite a bit, but the idea is still the same.." Trevor Rage says, "Let me be blunt here. No matter what you say.. I'm not going to raise the cap over 4 points per level." Trevor Rage says, "That said, however.." Alec Harlequin grins. Trevor Rage says, "Something I am considering is the idea of specialization." Trevor Rage says, "This is by no means a firm thing.. but I've considered the ability to choose, say, 3 skills." Trevor Rage says, "These skills will have say, a 6 point per level cap instead of 4." Alec Harlequin says, "I was going to suggest that earlier but I thought it'd be a little confusing.." Trevor Rage says, "And.. you can change specializations every say.. 20 levels." Trevor Rage says, "This gives you the power to choose a few specific strengths." Trevor Rage says, "Now.. that said.. I need to move to the next person in this long, long line." Trevor Rage grins. Siri Macallan smiles. Alec Harlequin grins. Having finished addressing the assembly Alec Harlequin sits back down. Matt Browne stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Matt." Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Matt." Trevor Rage smiles. Matt Browne smiles at Trevor Rage. Matt Browne says, "hello" Matt Browne says, "just had a few comments and a few questions" Trevor Rage nods. Matt Browne says, "first of all... someone like Armand" Jesse Jones sits down. Matt Browne pats Armand on the back. Matt Browne says, "sacrificed his health and speed to start with much more ranks than most people" Trevor Rage nods. Siri Macallan nods. Siri Macallan says, "This is true." Matt Browne says, "killing the starting bonus is going to hurt him more than anyone else" Matt Browne says, "and other oldies like Caesar" Matt Browne says, "its not a lot of people, but its enough to make it a point to be made" Siri Macallan says, "Yep, and it's a point we went over and over on." Trevor Rage says, "Yes we did." Trevor Rage nods to Siri Macallan. Matt Browne says, "the older folks have to be compensated some how" Matt Browne says, "and at age 32, i'm theoretically losing out compared to a lot of people, because in the long run, i'll get to my senior years quickers and start declining" Trevor Rage asks, "You know what, Matt?" Siri Macallan says, "We don't have age in here." Siri Macallan chuckles. Matt Browne says, "i sacrificed the first few years of my prime when i started too, but its very insignificant" Matt Browne asks, "you don't?" Siri Macallan says, "Not yet, at any rate." Trevor Rage asks, "We're just going to have to find some new and original ways of rewarding age, aren't we?" Matt Browne says, "so much for my birthday upcoming" Siri Macallan says, "Not aging." Trevor Rage smiles. Matt Browne grumbles about something. Matt Browne says, "anyway, that wasn't really necessary for someone my age" Matt Browne says, "but a few senior are going to be hurt" Siri Macallan says, "We understand that." Matt Browne says, "also... the teaching thing is obviously very heated right now..." Matt Browne says, "this sounds like we're all going through a chamber of forgetfulness" Matt Browne says, "that time spent learning could have been used for money earning or notoriety gaining, its not fair for it to be tossed into the pile" Matt Browne says, "i recommend they keep maybe half of all 'learned' ranks" Siri Macallan says, "Um, Matt..." Siri Macallan says, "A lot of people who sit and "learn" just like to sit and learn." Matt Browne nods to Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "They perp when they want, and they learn when they don't want." Siri Macallan says, "That was their choice." Siri Macallan says, "And I don't honestly think a lot of us would have jumped up and gone perping if we weren't being taught." Matt Browne says, "yes, so it sounds like the people who'd rather sit and maybe roleplay a bit more and chat are being disadvantaged" Siri Macallan says, "Not anymore than anyone else." Siri Macallan smiles. Matt Browne says, "theres still a lot of people who aren't level chasers" Matt Browne says, "and might never be so" Siri Macallan says, "I understand that." Siri Macallan says, "I don't happen to be one myself." Matt Browne says, "plus, learning is like a college major i think" Matt Browne says, "you take an interest and learn in it" Matt Browne says, "for a lot of people, thats the art of dodging i understand" Matt Browne smiles. Matt Browne says, "but some people like to learn a lot of singing or dancing because it interests them" Siri Macallan says, "Matt, I think we talked about this with Elysia." Siri Macallan smiles. Matt Browne says, "they shouldn't lose that secondary education, so to say" Siri Macallan says, "I understand that you don't want to lose any of your points at all." Siri Macallan says, "No one does." Matt Browne says, "so why not take say, half of level learned from teaching and keep it, put the rest in the pool" Siri Macallan says, "And no one wants an unfair game." Siri Macallan says, "So if you can reconcile both, I'd be really happy." Siri Macallan smiles. Matt Browne says, "nothing is fair" Siri Macallan says, "Well, somethings can be fairest of all possible worlds." Matt Browne asks, "why not make us all 6'7 musclular people with superior health?" Siri Macallan asks, "Is there anything else we haven't yet covered that you would like to add, Matt?" Siri Macallan smiles at Matt Browne. Matt Browne says, "you're reconciling both it seems" Matt Browne shrugs. Siri Macallan says, "Yes." Siri Macallan says, "And that was the whole point of it." Matt Browne says, "honestly, thinks are going to be a little bland with these restrictions" Matt Browne says, "things even" Siri Macallan says, "Not sure why when you can raise your points at any time through doing things." Siri Macallan says, "Not just perping or teaching a lesson." Trevor Rage says, "I'm not sure how you see things will be bland." Siri Macallan asks, "Anything else that you want to add, Matt?" Siri Macallan smiles. Matt Browne says, "guess not" Siri Macallan says, "Thanks for the input." Having finished addressing the assembly Matt Browne sits back down. Nina Perrson stands up to address the assembly. Nina Perrson says, "hey" Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Nina." Nina Perrson grins. Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage smiles. Nina Perrson says, "okay, here's my deal..." Nina Perrson says, "when you guys were mentioning the 77 per level thing, i thought that was really cool" Nina Perrson says, "cause it does make it more fair, and yeah i'm partial, cause i'm a high level" Nina Perrson says, "however..." Nina Perrson says, "the cap thing did not sit so well with me. i know you guys won't raise it at all, but maybe you could think of a few exceptions, as trevor said, in specialization..." Nina Perrson says, "see, i don't really mind some 20 level kid putting all his points in evasion if that's what he wants to do" Nina Perrson says, "his prerogative, i'd rather spread mine out" Trevor Rage says, "I've had nothing but good feedback on specialization so far." Trevor Rage smiles. Nina Perrson says, "but i did want to boost say, my musical/singing/art skills, 'cause since you guys don't have a directorial skill, that's pretty much who i'm supposed to be" Nina Perrson grins. Trevor Rage says, "So.. let's say you get those really high and those are the only skills you're really concerned about." Trevor Rage says, "Where does "Nina" go from here in terms of character development? She's achieved all she wanted to.. and she has 150 more levels to go." Trevor Rage grins at Nina Perrson. Nina Perrson says, "see..." Nina Perrson says, "i wouldn't boost 'em up to 500, maybe use the 12 in earth science that i sure know don't matter a bit to me" Nina Perrson says, "i just think..." Nina Perrson says, "that 4 points per level in every skill may be a bit restricting. some people have learned stuff other than combat things (and are wishing and hoping that more things become available to them to get noto/cash)" Nina Perrson says, "i'll shut up now, 'cause i know you won't raise the cap, but pleeeease pleeeease do consider specialization in 5 skills" Nina Perrson says, "cause it would be grand" Nina Perrson says, "ack, one more question" Trevor Rage says, "I think you're underestimating the other skills. You can safely say that combat skills mean nothing if you never plan on fighting.. but the rest of the skills.. there are uses not even imagined yet." Trevor Rage grins. Trevor Rage says, "But thanks for the opinion on the cap." Trevor Rage nods to Nina Perrson. Trevor Rage says, "Go ahead." Nina Perrson asks, "is it going to be much easier for lower levels to gain skills through practice than higher levels?" Trevor Rage says, "Yep." Trevor Rage says, "Not levels, but skill levels." Nina Perrson says, "okay... last q, pertaining to that" Trevor Rage says, "It's easier to raise a skill from 100 to 101 than it is from 300 to 301.. your actual player level doesn't affect it." Trevor Rage nods to Nina Perrson. Nina Perrson asks, "since bandits are obviously quite a step up from brawlers, would say a person with 228 in knives gain approx. the same amount as a person who is hunting brawlers for their normal skill level?" Trevor Rage asks, "The same amount of skill?" Siri Macallan asks, "Same amount of skill or noto?" Nina Perrson says, "a person who is fitted for brawlers, just like a person with upwards of 200 (after reallocation) could hunt bandits" Trevor Rage says, "The biggest factors in how quickly you gain skill by use are a) did you succeed in using it? and b) how high is the skill already." Nina Perrson says, "what i'm trying to say is..." Nina Perrson asks, "is it going to be hard to raise a skill no matter what you hunt? or will it be be a lot easier if you successfully hunt something that is a lot harder?" Trevor Rage says, "It will be easier if you hunt something more your skill range." Trevor Rage says, "You will still learn from anything.. I mean anything.. but it will be quicker if you hunt your range and not far below it." Nina Perrson says, "all righty, thanks" Trevor Rage nods. Having finished addressing the assembly Nina Perrson sits back down. Trevor Rage says, "Alright.. before we go on.." Trevor Rage says, "I want to talk briefly about the skill changes as a whole and what's changing, etc." Siri Macallan says, "Because a lot of you weren't around a year ago when all this was discussed." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Basically.. when you use a skill, it will raise. For example, when you throw a football, sports will raise. When you kick a perp, kicking will raise.. and so on." Trevor Rage says, "Your character will be best at the skills he or she uses most. If you rarely use a skill, it won't rise much." Trevor Rage says, "Also.. professions work differently. If you've been an Academian who can't fight, that's all about to change.. if you want it to." Trevor Rage says, "You won't be tied down to rigid restrictions based on your profession." Trevor Rage says, "You will be able to change your profession when you want to.. the only think you need is enough skills in the appropriate skills to choose that profession." Trevor Rage says, "For example, a medic would need a certain amount of first-aid and other skills." Trevor Rage says, "And.. we're getting rid of useless skills. Why isn't Nuclear Physics on the new skill list? No one uses it." Trevor Rage says, "If a skill is on the new list and you say, "But that doesn't do anything!".. it will." Trevor Rage says, "Every skill will have a number of great uses. We want players to be really torn on deciding which skills to learn." Trevor Rage says, "This way, you're all different, and you can make your character exactly who he or she should be." Trevor Rage says, "The standards for everything are changing.. including perps and combat." Trevor Rage asks, "For example.. we mentioned the 4 points per level skill cap. What does this mean?" Trevor Rage says, "A level 50 perp, for example bandits, will have 200 points of skill in skills like evasion or whatever skills that perp has." Trevor Rage says, "A level 20 thug will have 80 points of evasion, or 80 points of knife skill.. etc." Trevor Rage says, "And accordingly.. players will be balanced as well. This stresses the need for you to use your wits in combat, and be well armed for the job. I think that sounds more fun that typing ATTACK over and over." Trevor Rage says, "Right now, we have young players fighting things way over their heads, like level 10 players hunting bandits." Trevor Rage says, "By the same token, we have level 30 players who have a hard time with thugs." Trevor Rage says, "I'd like to see all that changed. If you're level 20, you should hunt, throw a football, fingerprint and crochete like you're level 20." Trevor Rage says, "And for anyone saying .. "But I like hunting miners at level 10 cause the cash is good!!".. tough cookies. There's no reason to get level 50 cash when you're level 10. That's the sole right of the level 50 player who's worked for it." Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "There will also be a large variety of ways to earn cash and notoriety.. well beyond what we have now." Trevor Rage says, "You'll be surprised at the new ways of earning noto. That's all I'll say for now." Trevor Rage winks. Trevor Rage says, "Hunting is optional. I'll stick to it, because I love it.. but everyone is entitled to their tastes." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan says, "One of the major points of this was so that people who don't want hack and slash can earn." Siri Macallan says, "So they can advance." Siri Macallan says, "The whole system was designed so that everyone can gain experience, not just those who like to chase the perps." Siri Macallan says, "Let's move on to the next question." Siri Macallan smiles. Brian Indiana stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage nods. Siri Macallan says, "Brian." Siri Macallan says, "Hi." Brian Indiana bows to Trevor Rage. Brian Indiana bows to Siri Macallan. Brian Indiana says, "Hey" Trevor Rage bows to Brian Indiana. Brian Indiana says, "just a few quick comments" Brian Indiana winks. Brian Indiana says, "let's discuss the newbie 1st level character" Brian Indiana asks, "does he arrive with 0 points ?" Brian Indiana asks, "or 77 ?" Trevor Rage says, "77, if we use full reallocation." Brian Indiana asks, "so his max score will be a 4 ?" Trevor Rage says, "Actually.. let me rephrase.." Brian Indiana grins at Trevor Rage. Trevor Rage says, "He arrives with zero if he's new after the reallocation." Brian Indiana nods. Trevor Rage says, "If he's level 1 before reallocation but reallocations under full, he gets 77." Brian Indiana asks, "so he has no skills ?" Trevor Rage says, "If he's a new rollup AFTER full reallocation, yes." Brian Indiana asks, "shouldn't a person have some base level of skill even if he is low in it ?" Trevor Rage says, "But he has a 4 skill / level cap he can fill from there." Siri Macallan says, "Doesn't have to have." Siri Macallan says, "Simu's games usually start the new player a zilch." Brian Indiana asks, "ok..so what can a person with 0 skills do on Morada ?" Siri Macallan says, "They can learn." Siri Macallan says, "They can try to do things." Brian Indiana asks, "deliver packages ?" Trevor Rage says, "No. No one is born with skill and as professions will mean a whole different thing, we're not going assume he or she has any specific skills." Siri Macallan says, "They can accuse perps." Trevor Rage says, "Level 1 perps will also have no skills." Siri Macallan says, "Something people are forgetting..." Trevor Rage smiles. Brian Indiana asks, "how will one develop hunting skills ?" Trevor Rage says, "Any task meant for a level 1 player will assume no skills." Brian Indiana nods to Trevor Rage. Siri Macallan says, "The list of skills under the reallocation? ALL of them will have several different activities associated with them." Siri Macallan says, "You do those things, you learn the skills associated." Brian Indiana asks, "aha...will there be level 1 perps ?" Trevor Rage says, "And also.. even if you fail to use a skill (like missing when you attack), you still learn some." Siri Macallan nods to Brian Indiana. Siri Macallan says, "Yes." Brian Indiana says, "ohhh" Trevor Rage says, "There already are level 1 perps." Brian Indiana says, "so like what level perps are there..50, 20, 1" Trevor Rage says, "Right now? 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50." Brian Indiana asks, "and with practice...we can go over the caps right...?" Brian Indiana asks, "the caps are just to reallocate ?" Trevor Rage says, "Not over the 4pts / level cap, no.. except under specialization." Brian Indiana asks, "not even with practice ?" Trevor Rage says, "Not even." Brian Indiana asks, "using the skill ?" Siri Macallan asks, "Brian, currently it takes you how long to go up a level?" Eve Roquelaure says, "Remember, Brian, when the new system is in, 'practice' will be the only way to raise skills." Brian Indiana says, "3 months" Brian Indiana just tickled Siri Macallan. Brian Indiana says, "if a good month" Siri Macallan asks, "Okay, so it takes you three months currently to raise a skill by 4, not counting teaching, right?" Brian Indiana says, "er 3 months" Brian Indiana nods to Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan nods. Brian Indiana asks, "so...can we lose skill points ?" Siri Macallan says, "So basically you can raise your perping skills first, if you want, or raise other skills during the time it takes to get the noto to go up a "level"." Brian Indiana asks, "through disuse ?" Siri Macallan says, "Or you can just perp as you like, and fill in the noto and skills with othr things." Brian Indiana nods to Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage says, "No, you can't Brian. Only stats decline with disuse (strength etc)" Brian Indiana jumps into the air and gives Trevor Rage a triumphant high five. Siri Macallan says, "Stats are like strength and what not." Siri Macallan says, "and let's not even get into those now." Brian Indiana asks, "so once i reallocate and load up the max in my hunting skills, I will only raise them again when i level ?" Siri Macallan smiles. Siri Macallan says, "That's another forum." Siri Macallan nods to Brian Indiana. Gumshoe Brian Indiana just went north. Siri Macallan says, "That's how it is now." Gumshoe Brian Indiana just arrived. Brian Indiana says, "oops" Siri Macallan chuckles. Brian Indiana nods to Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage says, "For those who don't the stats.. Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Agility, Mentality, Perception, Intellect.. Intellect and Perception never change, the others rise and fall with use or lack thereof." Brian Indiana says, "ok...thanks for the time !~" Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan says, "Thanks, Brian." Brian Indiana bows to Trevor Rage. Brian Indiana bows to Siri Macallan. Having finished addressing the assembly Brian Indiana sits back down. Armand Chascour stands up to address the assembly. Armand Chascour says, "ok several things which may go faster if ya hold comment til I finish blurting" Siri Macallan chuckles. Armand Chascour says, "first, I'm really looking forward to these changes! I see some kinks but you can always fine tune it as we go" Armand Chascour says, "Second, I notice that I have ZILCH in Teaching under partial, and given my unique abilities as an old fogey, I assume that others also have Zilch in that" Armand Chascour says, "you may recall how controversial and difficult teaching was when it first came out" Armand Chascour says, "it took hours and you couldnt stop and pick up a lesson" Trevor Rage says, "Teaching is a new skill.. hence no points in it." Trevor Rage grins. Armand Chascour says, "I once spent 5 hours learning Knife from Audrey Reede, to go from 0 to 1" Trevor Rage nods. Armand Chascour says, "that wasnt for my benefit really, but to RP and to show that we trusted your abilities" Armand Chascour says, "eventually it became more workable and even fun...I think you're a lil cavalier in throwing out the points we got from teaching" Armand Chascour says, "So I'd propose, to compensate us for lost lessons, to give us some FREE points in Teaching...after all, all characters have been through grade school, and should know a lil something about homework" Armand Chascour says, "maybe 30 or 50 out of 500, I dunno" Armand Chascour says, "and lastly" Armand Chascour asks, "Can we keep the partial allocation as a sort of default if FULL wins? I can see why people would want a clean slate, but personally my partial screen suits Armand to a tee, and I'd prefer not to have to enter those scores in manually...any way that my laziness might be accomodated?" Armand Chascour says, "manual data entry is soooo 20th Century" Armand Chascour says, "thanks, thats it for me" Armand Chascour sits down. Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks for the input. On that last point.. I'd love to make it easier any way I can.. but for full.. I think 'raise 15 by 75' or whatever, is the easiest it'll be." Armand Chascour nods. Armand Chascour says, "ok, thanks, I hope to see the rest of this forum on a log soon...I must go" Armand Chascour waves. Trevor Rage waves. Siri Macallan says, "Thanks, Armand." Armand Chascour just left. Remi MacGregor stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Remi." Remi MacGregor says, "Hold on, I must vent some frustrations." Remi MacGregor waves her arms about wildly, screaming like a madwoman! Remi MacGregor just stomped her foot angrily. Remi MacGregor blushes a nice shade of off-pink. Remi MacGregor says, "Okay. Better." Remi MacGregor says, "Sorry about that." Remi MacGregor asks, "If we do full allocation, we're not required to spend all points, correct?" Siri Macallan asks, "You mean at the time of the reallocation?" Remi MacGregor nods. Siri Macallan says, "As far as I understand it yes. You'd do everything in one shot, and then go from there." Remi MacGregor asks, "And at any time, we're allowed to hold onto extra points?" Trevor Rage says, "Use 'em or lose 'em. You can't hold onto them for later." Trevor Rage says, "As far as reallocation goes." Remi MacGregor says, "Okay." Trevor Rage says, "Now.. as far as skills themselves go though.." Trevor Rage says, "The 4 per level per skill thing works this way.." Trevor Rage says, "If you're level 50, the max per skill is 200. You can not raise that skill for 10 levels, then later catch up by raising that skill 40 points in one level if you want.. so long as you don't exceed that 200 max in the 50th level player scenario." Remi MacGregor nods. Remi MacGregor says, "And my final comment:" Trevor Rage nods. Remi MacGregor says, "Perhaps something such as for every point a person has received for being taught something they could get 1/4 of that point in reallocation." Remi MacGregor says, "But I'll leave it at that as a suggestion." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks for the suggestion and questions, Remi." Remi MacGregor says, "The poor horse has been shot, dragged into the street, run over, and beaten beyond a bloody pulp." Trevor Rage smiles at Remi MacGregor. Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage nods. Remi MacGregor sits down. Having finished addressing the assembly Remi MacGregor sits back down. Jon Garfield stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Jon." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan waves to Jesse Jones. Jon Garfield says, "Hi" Trevor Rage pokes Siri Macallan in the ribs. Siri Macallan says, "My aim is bad right now." Siri Macallan waves to Jon Garfield. Siri Macallan says, "There." Jon Garfield says, "First of all, I want to say I like this version of reallocation the best so far" Jon Garfield says, "And that's even with the fact that I lose almost 200 points under full with this version instead of the other one" Trevor Rage nods. Jon Garfield says, "I'd planned on bringing up the balance thing, so I'm glad it was already taken care of" Jon Garfield grins. Trevor Rage chuckles. Jon Garfield says, "I had an idea to help too, but this way is even better, and it makes mine kinda moot, so I won't even mention it" Trevor Rage says, "Several players brought it up, and it was well founded." Jon Garfield nods. Trevor Rage grins. Jon Garfield says, "I just have some clarifications on other things I'd like to make" Trevor Rage nods. Jon Garfield asks, "Are we still going with the soft/hard skill system? Or will it now be that *every*thing is raised by using the skill?" Trevor Rage says, "Everything is a 'hard' skill." Jon Garfield says, "Skill division, rather" Jon Garfield says, "Ok, that's what I thought" Jon Garfield asks, "And will we still get points per level to train with in addition to using the skill, or is it solely by using it?" Trevor Rage says, "Solely by use." Trevor Rage says, "But it doesn't take long to raise a skill with use." Jon Garfield says, "So we'll never have a reason to go back to the training areas? Just making sure" Jon Garfield nods to Trevor Rage. Trevor Rage says, "I think the rate of increasing skills is kinda fast, if anything." Trevor Rage grins. Jon Garfield says, "About how long? Just as a rough estimate" Jon Garfield says, "ok" Jon Garfield says, "That's good enough for me" Jon Garfield grins. Trevor Rage says, "Nope.. training areas will be monuments of the past." Jon Garfield nods. Jon Garfield asks, "Did I understand correctly then that you can still only raise each skill by 4 even through use?" Trevor Rage says, "That's correct, with exception of the specialization option." Jon Garfield nods. Jon Garfield asks, "So in theory, we could raise every single skill by 4 with each level, as opposed to only a set number of them the way it is now?" Siri Macallan nods to Jesse Jones. Jon Garfield says, "If we level slowly enough" Siri Macallan flails her arms about. Siri Macallan nods to Jon Garfield. Jon Garfield says, "I like that idea" Jon Garfield grins. Trevor Rage says, "Yep, you could.. though the chances of you raising all 44 skills by 4 points before you level is not too high." Jon Garfield asks, "So if we keep hunting beyond the 4 then, they're wasted like the noto is if you keep hunting with a full pool?" Trevor Rage says, "However.. you will not be able to have 500 in every skill.. there is a 15,400 lifetime cap." Trevor Rage says, "Pretty much, yep." Jon Garfield says, "Ah, that's something I hadn't heard" Trevor Rage says, "Didn't mention it yet.. but it's not really a concern until you get way, way high level." Trevor Rage chuckles. Jon Garfield says, "Ok, the next thing..." Trevor Rage nods. Jon Garfield nods. Jon Garfield says, "If the specialization is added..." Jon Garfield says, "And say we use the example you gave of 3 skills changed at every 20 levels" Jon Garfield says, "Even though I know that's not set in stone yet" Trevor Rage nods. Jon Garfield says, "At 6 points per level" Trevor Rage asks, "You still there, Jon?" Trevor Rage grins. Jon Garfield says, "Would there be a chance it's retroactive, to make it more fair for higher-level players who won't get to change as often as newer ones? What I mean by that is, say you're level 50. You'd have been able to change at 20 and 40, thereby having a chance at up to 9 different specialization skills." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "If specialization is introduced.." Trevor Rage says, "1) All players will specialize at time of reallocation, regardless of level.." Trevor Rage says, "2) It would apply to your spending of points during reallocation." Jon Garfield says, "Would a level 50 get to pick 9 skills with the higher cap, for reallocation only? Then after that it would go back to the 3, or whatever number is used" Jon Garfield nods. Trevor Rage says, "If you're level 50.. you will pick your specializations.. your caps for reallocation and general skill growth will be at 6/level for those specialized skills." Jon Garfield nods. Trevor Rage says, "You'll still pick only 3 skills ot specialize, but it will basically be retroactive since this will apply to reallocation." Trevor Rage says, "ot = to" Trevor Rage chuckles. Jon Garfield says, "That's true, I didn't think of it that way. We'd still have 50 levels' worth of raising those by 6" Trevor Rage nods. Trevor Rage says, "Yep." Trevor Rage asks, "Anything else, Jon?" Trevor Rage smiles. Jon Garfield says, "The only difference is not being able to change after each 20th or so, but that can just be written off as you opted not to change your specializations earlier on" Jon Garfield says, "One other thing" Trevor Rage says, "Yeah.. that would be much too difficult and unwieldy to implement.. but it's not a big deal." Jon Garfield nods. Jon Garfield says, "Many are likely to stick with the same 3 for the first 50 or so levels anyway" Trevor Rage nods to Jesse Jones. Trevor Rage babbles incoherently. Trevor Rage nods to Jon Garfield. Trevor Rage grins. Siri Macallan whistles a cheerful tune. Jon Garfield says, "As for the teaching thing, I think people are forgetting that those points are learned, but not earned. It takes nothing but the patience to stay in the same room with the same person for 40 minutes at a time. And the 77 per level is more than you're likely to have received anyway" Jon Garfield says, "And even though it'll limit the number they can have right after reallocation, like going down to 60 instead of 100, they can easily re-learn those points" Trevor Rage says, "Time is .. well.. time.. but then again.. many of us would be sitting around draining the ol' noto pool anyway.. there is some merit to that.. though I also sympathize to the loss of skill points from teaching." Jon Garfield nods. Jon Garfield says, "This version puts it like everyone had used the new version from day 1 and worked in whatever skills they choose to raise, and teaching hadn't been introduced yet, then it was one of the new features after reallocation" Trevor Rage nods. Jon Garfield says, "And I think that's pretty fair" Trevor Rage says, "We'd like to set a few things straight, and then move on to having fun with this new puppy." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks Jon.. gonna move on to the next person.. thanks again for your comments." Trevor Rage smiles. Jon Garfield says, "Like Siri said, or I interpreted it this way, anyway, had they hunted more than just sitting and learning (not that that's what everyone did), many could be a higher level and have a higher cap" Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks." Jon Garfield says, "Ok, thanks for the clarifications" Having finished addressing the assembly Jon Garfield sits back down. Trevor Rage chuckles. Rain Beringer stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage says, "Heya, Rain." Rain Beringer says, "Hi Trevor, Siri" Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Rain." Siri Macallan smiles. Rain Beringer says, "I have a couple things I would like to say real quick" Siri Macallan nods. Rain Beringer says, "First I really enjoyed the idea Armand came up with, and I have talked to a few others who did, about the giving us learning points" Siri Macallan nods. Rain Beringer asks, "Secondly, I'm itching to know what is the time frame on this whole reallocation thing?" Siri Macallan says, "You and everyone else." Siri Macallan smiles. Rain Beringer grins. Rain Beringer says, "I ask because I'd like to know how long I have to level like a madwoman" Siri Macallan says, "As I told Brian, earlier..." Siri Macallan says, "Everyone will get the announcement at the same time." Rain Beringer nods. Siri Macallan says, "We've had a year to be working on it, and we're close." Trevor Rage says, "I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to guess at an estimate, it wouldn't do justice to either of us." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan says, "The first thing which will be changed is the CMgr, and that looks to be at the first of May." Rain Beringer smiles at Trevor Rage. Rain Beringer says, "I can accept that" Siri Macallan says, "After that, we'll be doing the skills." Rain Beringer nods. Rain Beringer asks, "Will the new perps be implemented at the same time as the skill reallocation?" Siri Macallan says, "Absolutely." Rain Beringer nods. Rain Beringer says, "Ok my last question is about professions" Trevor Rage says, "Heh.. exactly what I was about to say... to the word." Trevor Rage chuckles. Rain Beringer asks, "I am a little confused about what we will be getting from professions, as a coroner I have a high skill in medicine and science, after reallocation there will not be anymore of the high skill associated with profession, what will we be getting from professions, how will our different proffesions be used?" Siri Macallan says, "There will be a good deal more professional choices ..." Siri Macallan says, "And they're mostly cosmetic." Rain Beringer says, "I dont understand how the professions differentiate themselves basically" Rain Beringer nods to Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "So let's say you got your degree in forensics." Siri Macallan says, "I.e. you're a coroner." Trevor Rage says, "You won't "get" anything out of a profession other than an identity for yourself. Your skills and other things your character acquires will be the power behind him or her.. not just a nameplate that reads "Secret Agent" or what have you." Siri Macallan says, "But somewhere down the road you realize that you'd really rather go into something else, then you can. Just use the skills you want to use, and change your profession." Rain Beringer asks, "so your profession basically becomes as trivial as your hair or eye color, only used for rping purposes?" Siri Macallan says, "It's like professions in real life." Siri Macallan says, "It's a title and it really doesn't mean much." Eve Roquelaure says, "You may be qualifed, based on your skill levels, to call yourself a "Fisherman" or a "Medic" or a "Coroner"." Siri Macallan says, "People change titles as often as they change their hair color." Rain Beringer says, "Alright in mystery situations" Rain Beringer asks, "will there be such a difference to varying professions as there are now?" Siri Macallan says, "Right now it's all based on skills." Siri Macallan says, "So if someone comes across a para clue, and they have high para skills, they'll get the information." Siri Macallan says, "That doesn't change." Trevor Rage says, "..They could be a coroner, plumber, whatever.. as long as they have the para skills needed." Siri Macallan says, "Right." Rain Beringer asks, "So to put it 'alright so to make sure I understand, our profession doesnt mean anything anymore correct except to our characters identity?" Rain Beringer says, "ack" Rain Beringer says, "sorry bout that" Trevor Rage says, "Pretty much .. yep. Based on your skills.. you may have 5, 10 or 50 professions available to choose from. You choose the one you want based on what you like, and nothing else." Rain Beringer nods. Rain Beringer says, "alright thank you" Trevor Rage says, "There is no advantage or disadvantage to any profession." Trevor Rage nods. Trevor Rage smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Rain Beringer sits back down. Luca Santiago stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Luca." Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Luca." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan smiles. Luca Santiago says, "me again" Luca Santiago says, "Sorry i didnt realize you could ask more than one question" Luca Santiago says, "I need to ask something that is very important to me" Siri Macallan says, "Go for it." Siri Macallan smiles. Luca Santiago says, "You see... I always hated hunting... and people like Cro Night wing were able to pass me in a matter of weeks because they hunted like mad" Trevor Rage says, "Specific names, aside.. alright.. " Luca Santiago says, "I chose to learn lessons based on my weaknesses... I purposely did this... not because I was bored. I prefered to do this instead of whacking a brawler to death" Siri Macallan nods. Trevor Rage nods to Luca Santiago. Luca Santiago says, "but the hunters are the ones who are benifiting... and people that chose to learn lessons are getting screwed over" Luca Santiago says, "someone who has been here for only 4 weeks will be higher than me who has been here for 4 months" Luca Santiago asks, "How is this done in FAIRNESS?" Siri Macallan says, "If you chose partial reallocation, Luca, then you'll still get 4 points per level in each of the skills that translate." Trevor Rage says, "So.. what about when breakage comes in and they need someone who can fix weapons.. or what about when they need nautical skills to get them in a boat to some island hunting area.. or what about... see where I'm going here? No skill will be pointless." Luca Santiago says, "Take my good friend for example who I cannot name... she was a detective and had to work HARD To get those lessons to catch up with secret agents" Siri Macallan says, "And you'll be one of the lucky ones who will find whole new avenues of ways to earn noto and skill points by doing other things than perping." Luca Santiago asks, "and now she is losing all those lessons into skills she would rather not have... how is that FAIR?" Siri Macallan says, "The system was made to include players like you." Luca Santiago says, "I feel like this new system is really excluding the a big group on morada" Luca Santiago asks, "also... can lessons be learned after the reallocation?" Trevor Rage says, "Again.. we're not looking for fair.. we're not looking for balance.. we're looking for a mix of both." Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Lessons can be learned after reallocation, but the 4/level cap applies" Luca Santiago says, "I am so glad all my time on morada these past for months was so well spent because I wasnt out murdering brawlers" Siri Macallan says, "The people who murder brawlers, as you put it, have the same cap as those who sat around being taught." Siri Macallan smiles. Luca Santiago says, "The have higher levels.. I will only be at 32" Luca Santiago asks, "they will be at 56 or what not... and they have been here what.. weeks only?" Siri Macallan says, "They will have skills based on their level, just like you will." Luca Santiago exclaims, "yes! This whole thing should not be based on levels but on skill points earned! I earned those points!" Luca Santiago says, "I wont be able to hunt thugs after reallocation if it is set at 60? that doesnt make sense to me" Siri Macallan says, "You won't have to hunt thugs." Siri Macallan smiles. Luca Santiago says, "but what if I want to? That is what I do NOW.. it should stay that way. I am getting punished for not hunting like MAD" Siri Macallan asks, "Did you have another point you'd like to go over, Luca?" Luca Santiago says, "yes one more thing" Luca Santiago says, "I would also like to point out that those that were playing your games like trivia with Delilah... that willingly got no noto when they could of been out masacaring brawlers are also getting stiffed here" Siri Macallan says, "They're having fun." Siri Macallan says, "They go to play the game." Siri Macallan says, "And that's not an issue right now." Luca Santiago sighs. Luca Santiago says, "thank you anyway, but this is pointless and not worth my time" Luca Santiago went through a pair of wooden doors. Sarah Ninesling stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Sarah." Sarah Ninesling says, "hi" Sarah Ninesling smiles. Sarah Ninesling says, "Hi I'll make this real quick" Sarah Ninesling says, "When I first started playing this game I wanted to be a para becuase that is what I am interested in rl" Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage nods. Sarah Ninesling says, "the role playing options were and still are endless. But as far as combat goes i was obviously hindered" Sarah Ninesling says, "I decided to stick with it becuase I couldnt imagine being a agent or something like that i wouldnt know how to role play it" Sarah Ninesling says, "what I am trying to say is that I am all for this new system and I think it will help people like me who really want to pursue more cerebral professions with out getting screwed skills wise" Sarah Ninesling says, "as my husband said when he first tried to play this game a couple of months ago" Sarah Ninesling says, "the sysem here makes it so most people would never consider being anything but a brawny character" Sarah Ninesling says, "From a rp standpoint it makes no sense for me or any acedamien or reporter etc. to be chasing around thugs and bandits " Sarah Ninesling says, "I will say i hope that this opens up a new doorway of uses for para skills " Sarah Ninesling says, "um thats it thanks for listening" Sarah Ninesling giggles. Sarah Ninesling sits down. Trevor Rage says, "I'm going to make a statement that's going to offend some.. but it's my feeling." Trevor Rage says, "I'm sick of humungus secret agents walking around with all the power. Time to share the wealth a little. All hail balance, yada yada." Trevor Rage grins. Sarah Ninesling exclaims, "right on!" Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Sarah." Sarah Ninesling giggles. Trevor Rage smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Sarah Ninesling sits back down. Amanda Hunter stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Amanda." Trevor Rage smiles at Amanda Hunter. Amanda Hunter exclaims, "hi!" Amanda Hunter exclaims, "could you give me just 2 seconds please?!" Amanda Hunter sobs. Siri Macallan chuckles. Trevor Rage nods. Amanda Hunter says, "ugh ok thanks! sorry about that..i swear...ugh worst timing" Trevor Rage grins. Amanda Hunter says, "alright, i understand that this may have been covered, i missed a bit from being disconnected, so i'll appologize in advance if i say something thats been totally covered..but you did say you were open to suggestions and i'd like to give one...first though i'd like to make a point." Amanda Hunter says, "Im going to compare this to say taking piano lessons on the mainland...2 people..one has been taking his piano lessons for a long time (this would be a high level person) but he hasnt had much spare time so he only took a piano lesson once a month.. The second person has only been taking their piano lessons for a year (like say a not so high level person) but this person has had more spare time and takes his lessons once a week...so the person taking lessons once a week for a year would have the same skill as someone taking lessons once a month for 4 years." Trevor Rage says, "Alright.." Amanda Hunter says, "this is a roleplaying game...and i think restricting how much points you can put in a certain area severely takes away from that. I have spent lots of time getting lessons in certain areas..because i want to be good at it...just like someone on the mainland would spend lots of time learning something they want to be good at." Amanda Hunter says, "Trevor asked nina earlier if someone early in level reaches where they want to be in a certain skill..what will they do then when there are so many more levels to reach? i would think it should be just like RL; you learn something...you become good at it..when you've learned all you want to learn you then focus on something else you're interested in.." Amanda Hunter says, "Now i'd like to compare myself to the second person i mentioned..i have had the time and patience to focus on the skills that are important to me.. since i have trained in evasion everysingle time i leveled..i will lose every lesson i worked on that..to me that just isnt right..and its not only evasion but other things ive worked hard at..i didnt take all those lessons just so they could be put into something i dont want just because the stuff i do want has reached its cap." Amanda Hunter asks, "so what im really saying is that yes..i may be just barely above level 20, but i have spent a lot of time and energy into getting my skills where they are (just like a person who has spent more than average ammount of time on the piana lessons would be as good as or even better in some cases as someone who hasnt been working as hard but for a longer period of time) that would be like saying to someone who has not been taking lessons long "You are way too good for having only worked at this for a year, I'm sorry to say but im not going to let you play proffesionaly, you have to continue playing out of that beginners book" People in RL arent set to levels, they arent held back from being extra good at something they take interest in so why should we be?" Amanda Hunter says, "my suggestion is that you let us keep the skills that we've spent so much of our time learning...maybe set the cap at the persons current skill (if the skill excedes the 4 times level thing) then with the skills that are taken away..let us put those points in skills that have not exceded the 4 times level thing." Amanda Hunter curtsies. Amanda Hunter giggles. Amanda Hunter sits down. Trevor Rage says, "This is one of those situations where we really do have to throw realism out the door. It's far too damaging to the game balance to allow rampant points all over the place, where we have low level players will far too much power. The 4 points per level cap is not negotiable." Siri Macallan says, "Except for the specialized skills." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Right." Siri Macallan says, "And those are at 6." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Amanda." Trevor Rage smiles. Amanda Hunter says, "im still not sure i understand the specialized skill thing..but..it still doesnt make up for the 170 lessons im losing in evasion alone..not to mention knife...and others" Amanda Hunter says, "but i dont want to drag this on when its already been covered" Trevor Rage says, "Let me put it this way, Amanda." Amanda Hunter says, "thanks for your time" Trevor Rage says, "You're level 21. You have 250 of the 500 max skill already, in Evasion.. at level 21! Does that seem odd to you? It does to me." Siri Macallan says, "Especially since 200 is the level cap." Having finished addressing the assembly Amanda Hunter sits back down. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks Amanda." Trevor Rage smiles. Elysia Francois stands up to address the assembly. Trevor Rage smiles at Elysia Francois. Trevor Rage says, "Welcome back." Elysia Francois says, "Me again. Fortunately, I've warmed to the general idea." Elysia Francois chuckles. Elysia Francois says, "I am just a staunch advicator for tradition." Elysia Francois blushes a nice shade of off-pink. Elysia Francois says, "Anyway, I have a couple of general concerns I need to be fully content." Siri Macallan asks, "Are they different than what has been put forward already?" Siri Macallan smiles. Elysia Francois says, "Yes, I believe so. I pride myself on being original." Elysia Francois winks at Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan grins. Siri Macallan says, "Go for it." Trevor Rage chuckles. Elysia Francois says, "Alright, first is the issue involving the professions." Elysia Francois says, "I'm sort of confused about that." Siri Macallan asks, "Which 'issue' is that?" Siri Macallan asks, "How they'll work, you mean?" Elysia Francois asks, "Academians and such will have the same skills I will, as a secret agent?" Siri Macallan says, "They can have them already, if they wanted." Trevor Rage says, "Your profession won't determine what skills you have. You will." Trevor Rage says, "Your profession is only a title you choose." Elysia Francois says, "That seems somewhat strange to me though because, me being a student in real life, I wouldn't be out there dodging bullets and hunting down perps." Elysia Francois giggles. Trevor Rage says, "If you were in Morada? Yes you would." Elysia Francois says, "So I think that the restrictions on professions was valid." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "It's near impossible to avoid confrontation on Morada, from time to time.. no matter who you are." Trevor Rage grins. Elysia Francois says, "Naturally a lawyer is going to be more knowledgeable in law than say...a medical surgeon." Elysia Francois says, "I just think certain restrictions on professions should remain and are valid." Siri Macallan says, "And they'll still remain valid." Elysia Francois says, "I could see a problem with fairness and imbalance propping up." Trevor Rage says, "The difference here.. is that you will no longer 'arrive' as a lawyer per se.. you will become a lawyer.. if your law and other required skills are good enough to get the title." Siri Macallan says, "For example, if you do nothing but train in coroner related skills, then you will be restricted to doing coroner related things well. People who don't train won't be able to do them at all." Elysia Francois nods. Trevor Rage says, "Skills will determine the professions available, instead of professions determining the skills available." Elysia Francois says, "Okay, that brings me to my second concern and last one (thankfully)" Elysia Francois says, "When we arrived on the island, we were given a certain amount of predetermined points." Elysia Francois says, "For instance I was well trained in blunt weapons, unarmed combat etc." Elysia Francois asks, "Now, I have legally raised those values through training. However, being that I started with a higher stat than say..a coroner, will I lose those points?" Elysia Francois says, "To be more specific, I have a rating of 88 in security systems." Elysia Francois says, "I haven't been taught on that topic." Siri Macallan says, "The points most everyone is "losing" are the ones which came in their profession bag." Elysia Francois says, "At my current level cap it will be 56" Elysia Francois nods to Silvana StoneSkye. Elysia Francois crosses her eyes. Elysia Francois nods to Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "You can have up to 4-6 points in each skill, based on your specialization." Siri Macallan says, "And the rest of the points would be available for other things, once you've trained your other skills up." Elysia Francois says, "Okay, thank you very much for your patience in answering my questions and help to ease apprehension." Trevor Rage smiles. Elysia Francois smiles. Siri Macallan says, "My pleasure.'" Siri Macallan smiles. Elysia Francois says, "I think I'm more at ease now." Elysia Francois chuckles. Elysia Francois sits down. Having finished addressing the assembly Elysia Francois sits back down. Phoenix Algernon stands up to address the assembly. Phoenix Algernon shivers. Phoenix Algernon says, "Sorry, stage fright." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Phoenix." Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Phoenix." Siri Macallan smiles. Phoenix Algernon smiles, "Hello." Phoenix Algernon says, "Alright, is partial reallocation still an option at this point?" Trevor Rage says, "Yes.. we've not even begun the vote." Phoenix Algernon nods, "Good, then my questions is still valid." Phoenix Algernon says, "It just _seems_ like everyone is assuming things will be done under full. Anyways, will the cap apply to partial reallocation?" Trevor Rage says, "Yep, the same caps apply regardless of partial or full." Phoenix Algernon nods to Trevor Rage. Phoenix Algernon says, "Okay, then I won't take up any more time." Phoenix Algernon sits down. Trevor Rage chuckles. Having finished addressing the assembly Phoenix Algernon sits back down. Siri Macallan says, "Thanks, Phoenix." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks for your question." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan smiles. Verna Delancey stands up to address the assembly. Verna Delancey says, "Hello" Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Verna." Trevor Rage says, "Hi, Verna." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage smiles. Verna Delancey asks, "Question 1. You said people taught will not keep those lessons?" Verna Delancey asks, "What about the teachers leveling off of teaching others?" Verna Delancey asks, "Will they lose their level?" Trevor Rage says, "We aren't going to touch notoriety." Verna Delancey says, "I do not understand." Siri Macallan says, "The teacher got notoriety for teaching." Siri Macallan says, "We're not changing notoriety." Verna Delancey says, "yes but they leveled off of it thereby earning tps to train with" Trevor Rage says, "For one, we have no way of tracking.. and secondly.. folks losing skill points from classes is not intentional. It's more or less collateral damage. And in not every case will you lose skill points, either.. depends on which reallocation is used and what your level is, etc." Verna Delancey says, "Secondly, the reason I trained my character..." Verna Delancey says, "Was for the rp aspect." Siri Macallan says, "That shouldn't change." Verna Delancey says, "I see that going away" Siri Macallan asks, "Why?" Siri Macallan says, "You'd still train in what you want to train in, and do what you want to do." Verna Delancey says, "Because you can not rp an aspect that is evenly trained with someone else" Verna Delancey says, "That's not what I am hearing" Verna Delancey says, "I am hearing we are required to train things to level..." Siri Macallan says, "I bet I have the same skills as you do in some respects, and how I RP is going to be different than you." Verna Delancey nods. Trevor Rage says, "That's not true." Verna Delancey says, "It's perspective" Siri Macallan says, "RPing has little to do with skills." Siri Macallan says, "In the purest sense." Verna Delancey says, "Depends on how you rp" Siri Macallan says, "Mechanics have to do with skills." Siri Macallan says, "Then come to the forum on Wednesday, and we'll branch you out." Siri Macallan winks at Verna Delancey. Trevor Rage says, "This isn't DR and it won't be. You will not be required to raise any certain skill to level. Notoriety will continue to be the only requirement for leveling." Verna Delancey asks, "I did not say it was did I?" Verna Delancey says, "I said that was what I was hearing..." Trevor Rage says, "What's how I interpreted: "I am hearing we are required to train things to level..."" Trevor Rage says, "er, That's how.." Trevor Rage chuckles. Verna Delancey says, "I am still confused" Trevor Rage asks, "How so?" Verna Delancey asks, "How are we going to earn the ranks in our skills?" Siri Macallan says, "By doing things." Verna Delancey asks, "Is that not going to unbalance us again?" Trevor Rage says, "By using those skills." Verna Delancey gets a distant look on her face as she ponders. Siri Macallan says, "Here's an example out on the boards already ..." Siri Macallan says, "If your character is into archeology, you could participate in a dig." Siri Macallan says, "You get skils and notoriety for doing so." Siri Macallan says, "Skills." Siri Macallan says, "If you're not into archeology, then you go do something else that your character would do." Verna Delancey asks, "then why are we caping skills?" Siri Macallan says, "In that way your skills will be what you make them, and everyone will be specailized." Trevor Rage says, "For game balance." Siri Macallan says, "Because we're a level oriented game." Siri Macallan says, "And it's required for balance." Verna Delancey asks, "Is the caping only at allocation then?" Siri Macallan says, "No, through all the 200 levels of play." Verna Delancey says, "That makes no sense to me." Verna Delancey says, "So when we level, we do not train the skills right/" Verna Delancey asks, "So why do we level?" Verna Delancey giggles. Siri Macallan says, "Correct. You're gaining things as you do them." Trevor Rage says, "When you level you gain a number of advantages." Verna Delancey asks, "Can you give me an example?" Verna Delancey asks, "Is it just a title change?" Verna Delancey says, "Or profession change I mean" Trevor Rage says, "Your cap is raised by 4.. if you were level 10, that cap goes from 40 to 44.. you get new titles, you may get access to new areas or features, you get homes at a certain point, and other benefits we may later devise." Verna Delancey says, "Oh I see." Verna Delancey says, "I see a problem with people just doing the mad leveling thing." Verna Delancey winces expressively. Verna Delancey says, "I want to avoid that." Siri Macallan says, "You don't have to do it, if you don't want to." Siri Macallan smiles. Trevor Rage asks, "So? If you gain noto from doing almost anything you want to do, from making things, to teaching, to hunting.. does it matter?" Verna Delancey says, "I know that." Trevor Rage smiles. Verna Delancey says, "I am just saying that I do not want to see the rp aspect fall to ruins." Verna Delancey says, "In other words do not make leveling all that attractive..." Verna Delancey ducks her head. Trevor Rage says, "There is no logical reason for it to have a bad effect on RP." Verna Delancey says, "It is if that is all they do is level." Verna Delancey sighs. Siri Macallan asks, "Did you have any other questions, Verna?" Trevor Rage says, "And.. many of the things you commonly do in the process of RPing might provide noto." Siri Macallan smiles. Verna Delancey says, "That's it." Siri Macallan says, "Thanks." Verna Delancey nods. Verna Delancey sits down. Having finished addressing the assembly Verna Delancey sits back down. Jean Jameison stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Jean." Siri Macallan smiles. Jean Jameison smiles. Jean Jameison says, "Hi" Trevor Rage smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Hey there." Jean Jameison says, "I will try to be brief" Jean Jameison grins. Jean Jameison asks, "Question...in the new skills it takes 150 points to be trained...correct?" Jean Jameison says, "that is the level of trained" Trevor Rage says, "Pretty much.. the increments are 0-75, 76-150, 151-275, 276-350, 351-425, 426-475, 476-500." Jean Jameison says, "with a cap of 4 that means 37.5 levels to reach a trained level...if you start at 0" Siri Macallan says, "And that's about a 7th of the way through the levels, yes." Jean Jameison says, "If it takes about 3 months to level as Brian said" Jean Jameison says, "that is 112.5 months" Siri Macallan says, "Currently." Jean Jameison says, "or 9.375 years" Trevor Rage says, "It doesn't take everyone 3 months to level. Some take less, some more." Siri Macallan says, "Some of us have been around for 4 and are only 15th level still." Siri Macallan chuckles. Jean Jameison asks, "Is that realistic if there is life outside Morada?" Siri Macallan says, "Sure. Some people have been playing other games for ten years already." Trevor Rage says, "It takes 80 hours to achieve a 100,000 noto. level.. without a RP award." Jean Jameison says, "I find a certain lack of incentive there...but maybe that is just me" Siri Macallan says, "There are a lot of reasons why people come to Modus." Siri Macallan says, "Not everyone is here just to go up levels, but some are." Jean Jameison says, "I agree...I am still here" Jean Jameison grins. Trevor Rage says, "I hate to do this.. but let me give you a comparison based on another game." Jean Jameison nods to Trevor Rage. Trevor Rage says, "How many people here play Everquest? How many level 50 players are there? A ton. And.. 50 is the level cap there.. well it was until recently.. now it's 75 or 100 or whatever.. but sure as day.. you'll have a ton of people at that cap soon, too." Trevor Rage says, "And then there's nowhere but down to go." Jean Jameison says, "it just seems to be rather frustrating to want to do something well and realize that it will take you 9 years to do it" Siri Macallan smiles at Jean Jameison. Jean Jameison smiles at Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage says, "And heck, you can LOSE levels in that particular product.. so.. you log in every day to lose 2 levels, work back to 50, lose a level, get back to 50.. and so on. That's much worse than having to work hard for steady progress." Trevor Rage chuckles. Jean Jameison says, "I will defer to the next person...thanks" Siri Macallan says, "Thanks, Jean." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Jean." Trevor Rage smiles. Jean Jameison smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Jean Jameison sits back down. Xander Morales stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Xander." Xander Morales says, "Hi" Xander Morales nods. Xander Morales says, "Well, basically, everythings pretty much been asked." Xander Morales says, "There isnt much positive feedback with this." Xander Morales says, "I think, as GM's you should be a little more prepared with this. Or have been. People expected one thing, and are now surprized with something else." Xander Morales says, "I dont care how skills go, this is all just a game anyway, but there was a lack of preperation." Xander Morales shakes his head. Xander Morales says, "thats all I have to say really." Xander Morales says, "its sad." Trevor Rage asks, "We took player feedback to heart, Xander. We could have sat firm on the first draft, I guess.. but that's not good is it?" Xander Morales sits down. Siri Macallan says, "It was flawed, and unfair." Siri Macallan says, "Some people got and some people got a lot taken away on the first draft." Siri Macallan says, "Lucky if you were one of the getters." Siri Macallan says, "But sucky if you weren't." Siri Macallan says, "This is actually much more fair all the way across the board." Siri Macallan says, "Which again, if you were one of the getters, won't make you any happier." Siri Macallan smiles. Xander Morales stands back up. Xander Morales smiles at Siri Macallan. Xander Morales smiles at Siri Macallan. Xander Morales sits down. Having finished addressing the assembly Xander Morales sits back down. Mike Tucker stands up to address the assembly. Mike Tucker nods to Siri Macallan. Mike Tucker nods to Trevor Rage. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Mike." Mike Tucker says, "Hi" Mike Tucker says, "One quick one...everything else I had has been asked" Mike Tucker asks, "Will we know what the NEW ways of getting NOTO and cash are BEFORE we jump into the blender?" Trevor Rage says, "I'm not positive on that. You may be made aware of some of them." Mike Tucker nods. Mike Tucker says, "I'm thinking of a way to articulate this" Siri Macallan says, "Mike, I'd like to give at least a partial list of how the skills will be used." Siri Macallan says, "But the uses will increase and expand as we go." Mike Tucker says, "I guess some of the skills here have always been mysterious...I'd like to see them more open for the sake of..." Mike Tucker says, "doing what we want to do. For example" Mike Tucker says, "If I knew the big guy down the street was gonna beat me up..." Trevor Rage says, "There is a list that I recently placed on role-players.com,.. it may help to some degree.. but it's nothing firm by any means." Mike Tucker says, "AND he used a sleeper hold..." Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "We can tip you off with some examples and ideas of what's coming in.. but there will be new uses for all the skills way, way after reallocation. My advise.. train in the skills you like or feel will be most useful." Trevor Rage says, "Don't rule out a skill because it's not used much now. If it looks like it could be useful later, assume it will be." Siri Macallan asks, "Mike, are you still with us?" Siri Macallan smiles. Eve Roquelaure smiles at Mike Tucker. Trevor Rage asks, "Who wants to make bunny ears and take his picture?" Trevor Rage chuckles. Siri Macallan says, "Let's move on, and we can pick up with Mike when he comes back." Siri Macallan smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Mike Tucker sits back down. Courtney Chisolm stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Courtney." Siri Macallan smiles. Courtney Chisolm says, "Hi, Siri. Hi, Trevor." Trevor Rage says, "Hey, Courtney." Trevor Rage smiles. Courtney Chisolm says, "I truly will make this quick. Let me say my thanks now and then I'll sit after posing my question." Courtney Chisolm grins. Courtney Chisolm asks, "I've been making jokes for days about needing a career counselor's guidance so I don't make a mess of myself during this changeover. But the more I think about it, the more I think it'd be a valuable aid to some of us. Would any of the GMs be willing to do a little bit of 1-on-1 for those of us who request it?" Courtney Chisolm sits down. Siri Macallan says, "We'll be around to help answer questions." Siri Macallan nods. Courtney Chisolm asks, "Would it be possible to arrange appointments for just the purpose of discussing career paths?" Trevor Rage says, "We'll be here.. and my mailbox is always open. I field probably 6 or more emails on stuff like this, every day." Siri Macallan says, "Sure, once I know for certain what careers are available." Siri Macallan grins. Courtney Chisolm says, "I'd gladly pay good Moradan cash for the session." Siri Macallan says, "But my advice is still what I have said all along." Siri Macallan says, "Train in what your character would love to do." Siri Macallan says, "The rest comes after." Courtney Chisolm nods. Siri Macallan says, "Not in what you think you need to gain noto or beat the system." Courtney Chisolm chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "Ya know.." Courtney Chisolm says, "Beating this island is a futile task." Trevor Rage says, "Before I was a GM.. I was a GS player.. and I remember spending 3 days solid planning out the perfect character.." Trevor Rage says, "And he was.. until they changed some things here and there, for balance. It's a lesson. Do what you want, not what you think will make you the best." Courtney Chisolm says, "Trevor, most people know this isn't my first incarnation on this island. I was here for two years and then spent 2 years in GS, so I know the similarities and the differences. One of the things I found helpful in GS were the specific guides to choosing a profession. That's all I'm asking for here is a bit of advice." Trevor Rage nods. Courtney Chisolm says, "It always helps to talk to someone about possible avenues of development." Courtney Chisolm asks, "And who better than those who guide our journey here?" Trevor Rage chuckles. Courtney Chisolm says, "I really am done now. I don't want to waste everyone time." Trevor Rage nods. Courtney Chisolm smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks Courtney, if we can be of service, let us know." Trevor Rage smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Courtney Chisolm sits back down. Bryan Hit stands up to address the assembly. Bryan Hit says, "hey ya" Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Bryan." Bryan Hit grins. Trevor Rage smiles. Bryan Hit says, "forgive me if i ask any question that has already been asked" Bryan Hit asks, "i got in here real late, but have kind of been brought up to speed by peple for and against what's being decided. my main concern stems from the aspect of already acrued skills, and how they are dealt with in both kinds of reallocation. i have heard that some of the points are lost with full reallocation, but not with partial, and I need an idea of how that will effect what skills my character currently has. will there be a profound difference in his hunting skills as a result of what's been decided, or will there be little difference?" Bryan Hit says, "i was hoping to have him be more of a bounty hunter than anything else" Trevor Rage says, "My advice? Type REALLOCATION PARTIAL or REALLOCATION FULL later, and see for yourself. They were updated tonight right before the forum." Bryan Hit says, "okay, i will do that, but i need an actual answer before I do that. give me an example based on someone of my same skill level, which is 44 right now" Trevor Rage says, "Well... check REALLOCATION real quick now.." Trevor Rage smiles. Bryan Hit says, "say, they have had a fair amount of lessons, and trained in the usual hunting skills." Bryan Hit nods. Trevor Rage says, "You're level 44.. so.. all combat skills will be 4 * 44 or 176.. at highest.. with the exception of specialized skills." Trevor Rage says, "Best case scenario is 176 for non specialized, 264 for specialized." Bryan Hit says, "okay, that was tha math i did, too. and from what i can tell, most of my hunting skills are pretty close to that. but what does happen to the learned skill points in each kind of reallocation" Bryan Hit says, "i thihnk that question was asked before, but like i said, i got in here just in the last hour" Trevor Rage says, "In partial.. " Trevor Rage says, "You keep all your points, but they move around some. If a skill is being removed, those points go into the closest match." Trevor Rage says, "If there is no closest match, you spend them freely." Trevor Rage says, "And if a skill exceeds the 4 pts/level max or the 500 pt / skill max, those become free points to spend also." Bryan Hit asks, "so if i had 151 in unarmed, that would be moved to something similar in the new skills, like Grapling?" Trevor Rage says, "In full.. all skills are erased and we give you 77 points per level to spend any way you want. So you would get 3388 points to spend, in your case." Trevor Rage says, "Unarmed is one that we didn't want to place anywhere.. so it becomes free.. but say.. chemistry.. it's points will go into 'lab science'." Bryan Hit asks, "with the cap on each skill to allocate being 176 at the most for level 44, yes?" Trevor Rage says, "There is a conversion list in the REALLOCATE verb." Trevor Rage says, "Yep.. unless you specialized that skill, at which point it would be 264." Bryan Hit asks, "when you say specialized, what do you mean?" Bryan Hit feels like maybe he shoulda gotten here 4 hours ago. Bryan Hit grins. Trevor Rage says, "It's an idea we're playing with.. where you pick 3 skills to specialize in.. the cap on those 3 is raised from 4 to 6." Trevor Rage says, "You would then change specializations every 20 levels, if you wanted to, or keep them the same, if you like." Bryan Hit asks, "so, if i chose to specialize in Evasion, Musicial Instruments, and Knife Fighting, i could reaise those skill 6 points each level?" Trevor Rage says, "Yep." Bryan Hit asks, "okay. the rest i'll get up to speed on via log of this forum. will yuo have that posted on your site at all?" Trevor Rage says, "Eventually.." Trevor Rage chuckles. Bryan Hit chuckles. Siri Macallan says, "I know that several people are logging it." Bryan Hit grins. Siri Macallan nods. Trevor Rage says, "I may steal it from someone else if I can find a copy. Hint Hint." Trevor Rage chuckles. Bryan Hit says, "i just missed too much of it, but i'm sure i'll hear a lot of it from on the streets" Bryan Hit grins. Siri Macallan grins. Trevor Rage nods. Bryan Hit says, "thanks" Siri Macallan says, "Just make sure you hear fact, not fiction." Bryan Hit grins. Bryan Hit says, "true" Bryan Hit grins at Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "There's a lot of misconception and fiction going on right now." Trevor Rage smiles. Siri Macallan says, "And that doesn't serve anyone." Siri Macallan smiles. Bryan Hit says, "there's a lot of fear" Siri Macallan says, "Change brings fear." Siri Macallan says, "Always has." Bryan Hit says, "that makes sense with such a hugeschange" Bryan Hit says, "i'm kinda afraid myself, but trying to keep an open mind" Siri Macallan says, "I appreciate that, Bryan." Bryan Hit grins. Siri Macallan smiles. Bryan Hit says, "i'm done" Siri Macallan says, "Thanks for the questions." Having finished addressing the assembly Bryan Hit sits back down. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Bryan." Rain Beringer stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi again, Rain." Rain Beringer says, "Hello Again" Siri Macallan smiles. Rain Beringer grins. Trevor Rage says, "Hi, Rain." Trevor Rage smiles. Rain Beringer says, "I have an incredibly trivial question" Rain Beringer says, "just to warn you" Rain Beringer asks, "I know that at level 20 you can get a title based on your rpofession, is that out the window?" Trevor Rage says, "The titles will change some, but no.. titles themselves will remain a perk." Rain Beringer says, "and one last thing" Rain Beringer says, "Ferd wanted to ask this but he had to go suddenly" Siri Macallan says, "I thought you said Fred." Siri Macallan says, "And I was totally confused." Siri Macallan says, "It must be getting late." Rain Beringer pats Siri on the back. Rain Beringer nods. Rain Beringer says, "nope Ferd, which should tell you the kind of question it will be" Rain Beringer ducks her head. Rain Beringer says, "He wants to know if you get and increase in skill for smooching" Rain Beringer says, "I swear this isnt my question" Siri Macallan says, "I don't think we have "sex" as a skill." Siri Macallan furrows her brow. Rain Beringer coughs. Rain Beringer says, "well thats different" Rain Beringer says, "someone suggested sports" Siri Macallan says, "Let me put it to you this way ..." Siri Macallan says, "If you can figure out what skill it would really go under, then I'll listen to the suggestion." Siri Macallan smiles. Eve Roquelaure rubs her temples. Rain Beringer says, "I'll be sure to ask him" Rain Beringer grins. Rain Beringer says, "Ok thanks" Siri Macallan says, "Sure thing." Siri Macallan grins. Having finished addressing the assembly Rain Beringer sits back down. Edward Gregor stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Edward." Edward Gregor coughs. Siri Macallan smiles. Edward Gregor says, "evening all" Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Edward." Trevor Rage smiles. Edward Gregor says, "here goes..." Edward Gregor says, "first a few verifications..." Edward Gregor asks, "some comments i've heard implied that specailization had been decided on, has it? and if so? which direction did you colectivley decide?" Trevor Rage says, "It has not been decided on, but at this point I'd plan with the intention that it is coming in. I don't see any problem with it, so far." Edward Gregor says, "excellent, that one change assuages most of my fears on the subject." Edward Gregor says, "second....." Edward Gregor asks, "it seems to me that people are assuming you will be fine tuning as time goes on, is that correct?" Trevor Rage says, "That's correct." Edward Gregor says, "thank you... a couple more." Edward Gregor says, "third...." Edward Gregor asks, "it's been implied that there will be weapon breakage implemented, correct?" Trevor Rage says, "Correct." Siri Macallan says, "Yeppers." Edward Gregor says, "good, i'm not likely to knit, but i'll need to fix the holes in my coat." Edward Gregor grins. Trevor Rage chuckles. Edward Gregor says, "fourth....." Edward Gregor says, "will there be some control applied to how often a person changes profession? please note that my last question is related to this." Trevor Rage says, "There is currently no plan for control of frequency in changes." Edward Gregor says, "fair enough... fifth, and almost last......" Siri Macallan says, "Think of your profession as what you put on your business card." Trevor Rage says, "The only restriction is that you have sufficient skill in the skills required to acquire that profession." Siri Macallan says, "If you want to reprint your business card every day, and are qualified to have that moniker, then wear it proudly." Edward Gregor asks, "would it be possible to implement a pay relevant to prime skill?" Edward Gregor says, "in other words..." Siri Macallan asks, "Buy up skills?" Edward Gregor says, "some sort of benefit provided to those who stick with a profession for a long time." Siri Macallan furrows her brow. Edward Gregor says, "i'm a happy agent, but in reality, if i was an agent for twenty years my clearance would be astounding." Siri Macallan says, "I don't know, but it's possible." Siri Macallan says, "But you can always RP clearance." Siri Macallan smiles. Edward Gregor chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "I don't see a need or good reason to reward keeping a profession for a long time. That should be rewarding to you as a player, if you enjoy that profession." Trevor Rage says, "Your skills, however, will reward you, monetarily." Edward Gregor says, "just looking at realism there... if it works, great, if not... then it doesn't." Trevor Rage says, "Especially if you choose a craft skill of sorts, and work on it a lot." Edward Gregor says, "heh, like weapon repair." Edward Gregor grins. Trevor Rage says, "That's one of them, yep." Edward Gregor says, "last question is for future reference, and two fold..." Edward Gregor asks, "is there a way to lower your hand in a forum such as this? and is there a way to keep track of your place in the queue?" Edward Gregor grins. Siri Macallan says, "There is, but both are busted." Siri Macallan smiles. Edward Gregor chuckles. Siri Macallan says, "And I'm ignoring it for now." Edward Gregor says, "fair enough, you folks work hard." Eve Roquelaure says, "You can whisper to me about the queue if you have questions." Trevor Rage says, "I dunno how many times I've said it.. but the 'cone of silence' needs some work." Trevor Rage chuckles. Edward Gregor says, "i won't disagree with you mr rage." Siri Macallan says, "Hey, it never worked for CONTROL either." Siri Macallan says, "Chief and Max Smart were always being creamed by it." Trevor Rage chuckles. Siri Macallan asks, "Any other questions on the reallocation, Edward?" Edward Gregor says, "last is a comment, i offered a log of this forum to some people... seems i'm broken this time. sorry." Siri Macallan nods. Edward Gregor sits down. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Edward." Trevor Rage smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Edward Gregor sits back down. Remi MacGregor stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi again, Remi." Trevor Rage smiles at Remi MacGregor. Siri Macallan asks, "Remi, are you with us?" Siri Macallan says, "Come in, Remi." Trevor Rage chuckles. Having finished addressing the assembly Remi MacGregor sits back down. Jess Whiterose stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Jess." Siri Macallan smiles. Jess Whiterose smiles. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Jess." Trevor Rage smiles. Jess Whiterose says, "Hi, I am providing favorable feedback, I appreciate the work and thought and balancing that has gone into this" Jess Whiterose says, "As a mid level I appreciate levels being considered" Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Jess." Trevor Rage smiles. Eve Roquelaure pats herself on the back. Trevor Rage nods. Trevor Rage begins chuckling at Eve Roquelaure. Eve Roquelaure grins. Jess Whiterose says, "For the newer folks I would like to say teaching is a new thing, I spent over 2 years here without that option" Trevor Rage says, "Very true." Jess Whiterose says, "and another almost a year where only two professions could limited teach" Trevor Rage says, "And even SA's who had it could only teach 1 student." Jess Whiterose says, "One of the things I struggled with was not having 44 skills will a use when I got here, more like 15 with a use" Jess Whiterose says, "and when it is all implemented I think there will be much more variety and choices" Jess Whiterose says, "for old and new" Trevor Rage nods to Jess Whiterose. Trevor Rage says, "Exactly what we want to see." Amanda Jackson raises her hand. Jess Whiterose says, "So while I will see some loss in some of the things I have counted on, I will see variety and advances" Jess Whiterose says, "And new ways to improve and use weapons and other skills" Trevor Rage nods to Jess Whiterose. Siri Macallan says, "Amanda is going to be our last questioner of the evening." Jess Whiterose says, "so not all negative, thanks and knock me out with new stuff" Siri Macallan says, "Just to be forewarned." Jess Whiterose sits down. Trevor Rage chuckles. Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Jess." Trevor Rage smiles. Having finished addressing the assembly Jess Whiterose sits back down. Hans Sarber stands up to address the assembly. Siri Macallan says, "Hi, Hans." Siri Macallan smiles. Hans Sarber beams happily. Trevor Rage says, "Hello, Hans." Trevor Rage smiles. Hans Sarber exclaims, "Hey, Siri!" Hans Sarber exclaims, "Hey Trevor!" Hans Sarber says, "Wow ... what a rollercoaster." Hans Sarber grins. Siri Macallan seems to agree! Trevor Rage chuckles. Hans Sarber says, "I think this has a great potential to be very cool, if we let it be." Hans Sarber says, "It's just the matter of 'oh my gosh, I can't fight anymore ... and I have no idea what I'm going to be able to do!'" Hans Sarber says, "Anyway ..." Hans Sarber says, "I do have a few suggestions, if I may be so bold." Hans Sarber grins. Trevor Rage nods. Trevor Rage says, "Go for it." Hans Sarber says, "A few of the older players in here are going to kill me for saying this, but something else in addition to skills needs to change through this rellocation for it to be fair." Trevor Rage asks, "What's that?" Hans Sarber says, "Some folks who have been around here for a while have armor that's absolutely absurd. I'm referring to +25 to attack, and +100 (or more) in defense. Newer players, like me, have not had the opportunity to get these, because they are no longer made." Hans Sarber says, "I propose standardization of all armor, whether it is new or already owned. All armor should follow the same rules, even if some is better than others." Hans Sarber says, "Also, it would be nice to somehow maintain the inflow of 'less un-unique' items, if hunting is no longer an option for some folks. This polo shirt I'm wearing, for instance. Many other things I own. My solar-powered comm. Lots of items I got from hunting that I would no longer be able to get. I was thinking along the lines of items occasionally popping up in fisherman's nets, etc." Trevor Rage says, "That's a good point.. but I'm not even going to touch that one tonight.. I do have some concerns about combat balance in that aspect.. but it will have to wait until I've fully thought it out. However, some better standards will be coming with the combat revisions." Hans Sarber nods. Siri Macallan says, "People did pay for those very highly protective gear." Siri Macallan says, "Some of them paid a very great amount." Hans Sarber nods to Siri Macallan. Trevor Rage says, "Yes they did, which is a big concern." Hans Sarber smiles at Silvana StoneSkye. Hans Sarber says, "Well, it seems this is going to make me the unpopular one this evening." Hans Sarber coughs. Siri Macallan says, "And so there are a lot of issues that go into looking at something like that." Hans Sarber nods. Hans Sarber says, "Well, it was just a thought." Siri Macallan says, "It's not a bad thought." Siri Macallan says, "It's like reallocation." Siri Macallan says, "There are some way out of whack things on the island which have been around forever." Trevor Rage says, "I'm not certain how we can release new special items in-game without hunting.. but if you have suggestions to that point, we can entertain them." Siri Macallan says, "And people like their way out of whack things." Eve Roquelaure says, "Evidence of our eternal kindness, I call them." Hans Sarber says, "Anyway ... I do have an idea where this could go. It's much more inspiring than ticking off all the old folks." Hans Sarber smiles at Eve Roquelaure. Siri Macallan grins at Eve Roquelaure. Hans Sarber says, "Well, like I said ... things turning up in fishing nets. Archeologists finding interesting things while digging. You get the idea." Trevor Rage nods to Hans Sarber. Hans Sarber says, "I really think this could be a neat idea, and I like the idea about specialization ... but not because we get 6 points per level instead of 4." Hans Sarber says, "The best way to explain this is an example ... I'll use drinking, because that seems to be pretty popular around here." Hans Sarber coughs. Trevor Rage chuckles. Hans Sarber says, "I'll use wine, for simplicity. That wine needs to come from somewhere. Grapes need to be picked, transported to the distiller, bottled, and shipped again. All these are activities that players could perform." Eve Roquelaure says, "Especially tonight, especially popular tonight." Hans Sarber grins. Hans Sarber says, "Moreover, these jobs could be regulated for level. A new player could pick grapes, an older one could ship them by navigating a boat. An older player could "own" their own boat, and hire a navigator to pilot it. Eventually, a player within a specialization could "own" their own vineyard, distillery, or shipping firm." Hans Sarber says, "This way, players have an important role to society no matter what level they are. Level 1 players are only competing against level 1-5 players for picking grapes, and boat navigators are the ones between 5-10. So, if the level 10-15 owner of a boat wants to transport grapes or wine, they need to find and hire level 5-10 navigator. That way, everyone has a chance to feel important and needed, no matter what their level is." Hans Sarber says, "Additionally, the prices of wine could be regulated for how well this process takes place, providing an incentive for players to create low level players to supply the demand for pickers in order to keep the prices from going through the roof." Trevor Rage nods. Trevor Rage says, "Nice idea." Hans Sarber says, "It wouldn't take a whole lot of imagination to expand this to other areas, either." Trevor Rage says, "It's a nice approach to grouping multilevel players, and in a non-combat situation." Hans Sarber says, "I just think that if levels are what's going to be the determining factor in things, it would be great to be able to have some sense of importance as a young player ... while having something to look forward to later." Hans Sarber nods to Trevor Rage. Trevor Rage nods. Hans Sarber says, "Anyway, that's my bit." Hans Sarber grins. Hans Sarber says, "Thanks a bunch for hearing me out." Trevor Rage says, "Thanks, Hans. Good ideas for thought there." Hans Sarber sits down. Trevor Rage smiles. Hans Sarber smiles at Trevor Rage. Having finished addressing the assembly Hans Sarber sits back down. Amanda Jackson stands up to address the assembly. Amanda Jackson says, "Ok, I ask this at like every forum which I'm sorry about but I love the idea of the dye shoppe and I've been training a lot in Fashion in hopes I can get high enough before the skill change. So, I was wondering, do you plan to close the store since the fashion skill is being eliminated? Or perhaps dyeing would fall under crafts? I mean its a great idea, but I don't know anybody who can dye anything successfully.." Trevor Rage says, "Alright, our final questioner.. Hello, Amanda." Siri Macallan says, "Dying would fall under crafts." Amanda Jackson giggles. Trevor Rage nods to Siri Macallan. Amanda Jackson says, "ooh good" Siri Macallan asks, "How's that for a snappy answer?" Siri Macallan whistles a cheerful tune. Amanda Jackson exclaims, "great!" Trevor Rage chuckles. Eve Roquelaure grins at Siri Macallan. Amanda Jackson exclaims, "alright, lets finish this forum, I am done!" Amanda Jackson giggles. Amanda Jackson sits down. Having finished addressing the assembly Amanda Jackson sits back down. Trevor Rage grins. Siri Macallan says, "And we all know who to come to now to change those horrid pale red shirts into something really groovy." Eve Roquelaure chuckles. Trevor Rage snickers. Siri Macallan says, "Siri is tired." Siri Macallan grins. Siri Macallan asks, "Any final words, Trevor?" Rainbow Rogers smiles. Eve Roquelaure pats Siri on the back. Trevor Rage says, "Trevor's on the East Coast, Siri's not." Siri Macallan asks, "Eulogies?" Trevor Rage snickers at Siri Macallan. Siri Macallan says, "Okay, then let freedom ring." Siri Macallan opens the floor back up for general discussion. Trevor Rage says, "I just want to thank you for all for your patience and understanding, as well as jubilation and encouragement. I hope that overall, we meet your expectations for a fun and exciting game. More info on reallocation and a new survey to come soon."
