*Since radio conditions on this band appear to be improving, the World Scout Bureau had many suggestions to change the 10-meter band to a more active part of the band.
**The World Scout Bureau lists the traditional JOTA 40-meter frequency as 7.290. This frequency is also published in the "Considerate Operator's Frequency Guide" as the AM calling frequency. After discussing this conflict with ham/scouters, Ray Moyer, WD8JKV, (National JOTA organizer), and ARRL, we suggest using 7.270 as the US JOTA frequency.
***North Hills ARC (W3EXW) will be using these frequencies. We will alternate between 6 & 2m SSB between 9am & 4pm local. We will be calling CQ Jamboree.
