Sun

4/27

The key question addressed in tonight’s seminar was “How can we make our congregation become more contagious?”

Dennis introduced a MAP (Ministry Action Plan), hinging on four areas of congregation development:

*prayer

*fellowship

*witness

*worship

We had discussions on each of the four as to what the congregation could do to improve in each of those areas.

FOCUS VERSES: Numbers 13:25-14:4, Psalm 8, Matthew 28:19-20

Tonight’s key question was “What is it we do best?”

Those in attendance came to conclude that prayer is our strong suit.  Once that was determined, Dennis challenged us to build on that strength and clarify our vision.

The rest of the hour involved discussions on how we could get ourselves revived to spur the community into visitation.  Several initiatives were discussed and agreed upon.

Tonight, we arrived at four small “seeds” to plant:

1.      We will ring the church bell prior to each service.

2.      Dennis will draft a follow-up letter to inactive members.

3.      Georgie will receive additional help in keeping track of parishioners’ attendance.

4.      We will provide name tags to visitors at the door.
