Clubs and Groups in the Region

Louisville Bicycle Club is our local mainstream bike organization, affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists.  The Louisville Bicycle Club has a great, full ride schedule--rides every weekend (weather permitting), and most weeknights during daylight savings time.  The signature event for the "LBC" is the Old Kentucky Home Tour.  This scenic ride goes from Louisville to Bardstown, then returns the following day.  Over the past few years, this club has become much more "recumbent-friendly!"

Bluegrass Cycling Club is a similar group based in the Lexington/Georgetown area.

Southern Indiana Wheelmen is the group just across the Ohio River from us.  They have a sub-group, the Slow Spokes, that does shorter, slower rides for those who are not so caught up in the bike-rat race.

Bent Trail Riders is a group that focuses on riding their recumbents on the Little Miami River Rail Trail system.  They have an annual rally in mid-August that is a Must Attend Event!  They have a group email list on Yahoo, too.  You can join, if you follow the link at the head of this paragraph.
