Hi!  My name is Bill Upchurch.  I am a son, a father, a husband, a grandfather, a friend, a hunter, a fisherman, an ex camper and ... a believer!

This web site is meant to be a place where you can find hope, encouragement, information and a listening ear (e-mail).  My motivation for writing is simple.    I enjoy light verse poetry and use it for my medium of expression.

If you have lived very long, you know that life is full of surprises, conflicts, heartaches, disappointments. disasters and negative people.

I've lived long enough to experience most of these, but have learned some very important lessons in the process.  Lessons I hope I can share with you and keep you from making some of the same mistakes I made.

I will try to impart, to you, how I have experienced joy in spite of some very difficult times and how you can, too!

I do not have all the answers, but I am still searching.  I look around for people who are successful on the outside, but are peaceful and joyful on the inside.  Then I ask them what their secret is.  Most commonly the answer is, "spending intimate time with God daily in prayer and reading and meditating on His divinely inspired Word, the Bible."  They have found some life changing truths to live by.
