FRUSTRATION

I trusted my son with my 'only' life,
"I know where I'm going,"  he said.
It was five o'clock in the AM,
And man--I was just about dead!

Struggling through all that tall marsh grass,
In mucky swamp land, to my knees,
Was not a delightful thing to do,
Toting a gun and sack of decoys.

Walking toward a landmark ahead,
On the far horizon--a light!
We walked about thirty minutes,
Then witnessed a sunrise so bright!

"We must stop here and get set up
In this little pothole,"  he said.
After we'd put the decoys out,
Frustrated, he yelled, "Look , dad!"

Now, as the sun crept into sight
Through the clouds that it had parted.
We saw his Bronco II, that's right,
We were right back where we started!

Another time . . . lost in darkness
I needed some light for my path!
Sin had my life all 'wrapped up' tight,
Without hope . . . bound to feel God's wrath!

Then, suddenly, His light shone in
Through the darkness of my mind.
He took away my confusion
And helped me, Salvation, to find.
