Poems About Life

A POET'S PAYCHECK
My cousin, Mary, expresses perfectly
how I feel about writing poetry!

Some hold their feelings in, although
There's more room on the out --
And that could help explain just what
Our breed is all about.

A poet doesn't need to ask,
"Who am I writing for?",
As lovingly the lines are penned
And placed within a drawer.

When parts of me land on a page,
Preserved in proper order,
It serves as extra storage for
A heart that's spilled its border.

And whether what I write is ever
Publicized or quoted,
It tells of who I am ... or who
I was the day I wrote it.

But I submit the record isn't
Really quite complete
Until someone who loves me has
Acknowledged its receipt.

Answers to Life's
Greatest Questions

Since his creation, man has asked three questions.

  • Who Am I?

  • Why Am I Here?

  • What happens when I die?

Knowledge comes by reasoning and experience.  These are essential, but limited.  They cannot answer the three questions.  Only God can reveal to man the answers to these questions!

"The Last Sunset!"

I firmly believe, after formal Bible training, reading and studying God's Word, in depth, that there will be a day when each of us, no matter who we are or what we have accomplished, will have to give an account of our life here on earth before the most unbiased judge of all ... God Himself!

"The Last Sunset!"
may be the one just before I die or it may be while I am still alive, just before Christ returns for His own!  The fact is He will return!  The question is, are you ready for Him to return?  Where you spend eternity will depend on your prior preparation.
