When a family needs to 'bond,' all they have to do is get some camping gear together and head for the mountains, lakes, rivers or whatever suits you!

We visited all three and with no great success!

On the way to the Lake Livingston, Texas, I knocked my wife into a muddy ditch of water, with the extended rearview mirror, while backing our pop up camper.  That prompted the writing of "First Bonding Experience!"

The river backed up into the camp grounds in Texas' Big Bend Rio Grande river camping area after a sudden upstream thunderstorm.  That inspired "Water, Water Everywhere!"

I broke the prong off the crank to the camper, forty miles from the nearest town, while attempting to set up camp in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado ... results, "Brace Yourself!"

Oh, we bonded!  Believe me...we bonded!

Things were always kept in perspective with our sense of humor!  One experience was right in the middle of our camping fiasco in Colorado!  It's called, "Overlooking The Lake."
