The knowledge that I need is not my own, but yours, dear God, And depth of insight you supply To light the path I trod. I really would like to discern What's best in life for me, To choose what's best, forget the rest, I know you will agree! To do what's right, in life's tough fight Would be my one desire, And follow the example of The one I most admire!
