March 1821 Terms - on petition of John, Henry & Dunwiddie (Woody) Dozier, minors of LEONARD DOZIER, decd, being over the age of 14, pray that Richard Dozier be appointed guardian of their person and property. Richard dozier posted $3,900.00 bond.

Columbia Co., Ga. Book C - Writs of Distribution: Final distribution of Estate of LEONARD DOZIER - Registered 10 May 1822 pp. 255/260. Document lists Nancy widow; Dinwiddie, John & Henry Dozier, minors, Richard Dozier Adm.; Epsey, Rebecca, & James Dozier, minors, Daniel Vaughn & guardian; William Dozier, an heir of deceased. [So all children were minors except William who inherited in his own right - per Bill Edrington - This would explain why he was the only orphan of LEONARD's to claim land in DeKalb in his own name in 1821 - apparently the age on the 1830 DeKalb County, GA census was wrong - per Dianne Blankenstein.]
