Volume II of El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro is now available. This anthology was over four years in the making. This volume contains historical papers by twenty-four scholars concerning the history of New Mexico and represents a collection of the most current research into New Mexico history, particularly as it related to El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.

 

The anthology contains twenty-four essays and is richly illustrated with 132 photographs and pictures. In all, this volume consists of 345 pages. A detailed table of contents is provided below. The book is published by the Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico State Office, Santa Fe, and is being distributed to universities, research firms, and public libraries. About 1,500 copies will be sold at facilities of the Public Lands Information Association (PLIA) which administers bookstores at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) offices in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. Contact the BLM book stores in these three states for information on purchasing Volume II of El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.
