The prospective groom came from Parral more than a year ago and is a Paso citizen, and wished to marry María Dolores Romero, 22, legitimate daughter of Juan Romero, deceased, and María Candelaria Parra, also citizens of the jurisdiction of the royal presidio of Paso. When the daughter of Francisco Chrisostomo Duran and Maria Josefa Estefana Alderete. Maria Francisca Lucia, b 25 Sept, was baptized at NSG on 1 Oct 1779, the priest noted that she was a natural daughter, and from the marriage record noted above it is apparent that the parents were yet to marry. The letter was forwarded to the bishop at Durango and it was ruled that don Alberto be granted his freedom. Juana Antonia de Horcasitas was noted as the daughter of Castile native José de Horcasitas and Juana Téllez Girón at the time her first huband, Manuel de la Torre made a will at El Paso on 26 Sept. 1781. Juana and Manuel had three children: José Ramona and Manuela. Manuel de la Torre died on 5 Aug. 1780. Juana Antonia Horcasitas made her own will at El Paso on 11 Apr. 1808. She had four children by de la Torre, those who survived childhood were noted above. She had no children from her marriage to Ramón Ferreiro. {Rick Hendricks, "Wills from El Paso 1754-1817," Nuestras Raíces, 7:2, Summer 1995, pp. 89, 91]. At El Paso on 26 Sept. 1781, Manuel de la Torre executed a power to make a will to his wife, Juana Antonia de Horcasitas. De la Torre was a native of Lugo, Galicía, Spain, and El Paso citizen. His wife was the daughter of José de Horcasitas, a Castile native, and Juana Téllez Girón; their children were José, Ramona and Manuela. Then on 13 Sept. 1781-28 Nov. 1785, Juana Antonia de Horcasitas put into effect her late husband's power of attorney to make his will, as he died on 5 Aug. De la Torre and Horacsitas married at El Paso on 3 Oct. 1762, and Horcasitas was about to marry Ramón Ferreiro, first alférez of the presidio of San Carlos and paymaster of the presidio of San Elceario. At the pueblo of Socorro on 21 Feb. 1816 Victor Fuentes, legitimate son of Christóbal Fuentes and María del Carmen Peña, both deceased españoles and vecinos of Paso, married María Cecilia Ródriguez, resident of Socorro, legitimate daughter of José María Domínguez and Antonia Ribero, both deceased, natives and citizens of the royal pueblo, so it must be Socorro in this instance. Banns had been ordered by El Paso on 5 Feb. 1816 to take place at Socorro. (Misc. Cathedral Records Paso del Norte, JAM 1 f; Hendricks says bride's and her father have Rodríguez as surnames.)
