Most of the wood used in these turnings comes from storm damaged trees or from land development areas. Many local woods are beautiful if chosen from certain parts of a tree, such as stumps, crotches, burls, or spalted parts of dead trees. Much of the wood shown here comes from my local area, but some is from distant parts of the country.
