There has been much speculation concerning the age of man. Outstanding among the theories is that these people who lived before the flood had longer lives because they ate herbs (health food-- vegetarians). There might be something to that, however it certainly doesn't hold true in our present time. I don't know whether we have any statistics concerning the matter but I know of no vegetarian today who lives any longer than the meat eaters.
Below we have not statistics but the actual years that these men lived.

Seemingly, after this, people began to live according to the life span mentioned by David in Psalm 90:10 --- threescore and ten and perhaps fourscore. Why is it like this? God knows. I don't.
