Ed Brandt's Genealogical Books and Pedigree Data
NOTE: An earlier version of this website was posted on
http://home.cwix.com/~brandt@mci2000.com/edward.htm
This website was originally established to publicize the genealogy-related books I have for sale -- most of them publications I wrote or co-authored. These books, which deal with Germans throughout the world, a surname index of many who migrated to Eastern Europe, the origins of those in Wisconsin, the former Mennonite homeland in the Vistula-Nogat delta area, deciphering the German Gothic script, genealogically useful addresses in the formerly Communist states of Germany, Poles in the U.S. and Canada, and Hungarian archival and genealogical records, are listed below.
This page has been, and will continue to be, expanded to include extensive and detailed personal genealogical data. For these surnames and lineage charts, click here.
Specify where or how you found out about my books and get a 10% discount until November 30, 1999. This offer may or may not be extended.

The up-to-date version of the Resource Guide to East European Genealogy (with a brief description of member societies, along lists of professional translators for various languages and genealogists who are qualified to do research for specific ethnic groups or in given countries or areas), compiled by John D. Movius for the Federation of East European Family History Societies, is now available only on the Internet at http://feefhs.org. For those who seek printed copies, I have a few of the 1995 guides, the last ones to appear in print, left.
