These
pins are reminiscent of the old-fashioned bunting rosettes which
have decorated parades and political events for generations.
Easy and simple, they can be made from scraps . . . so they
are thrifty, as well. Small photos of loved ones in the Armed
Forces or Civil Defense can be hot-glued to the middle of the pin.
I sewed an antique button to each center of my pins.
Following the images of the pins are a few words of encouragement for everyone who values freedom, both spiritual and political, as we proceed from the devastation of September 11, 2001 and into a long battle against blind anger.
