Porsche 356s in a Barn as seen in August 2000
Shown are three of four 356s stored for over 25 years. Fourth 356 is a '61 with top and many panels removed. Hood is straight, and suspension and transmission are there. Car cover by camper shell so couldn't take pictures. '61 engine (P*604852) is in the 1957 Coupe. A disassemble engine is said to be from the 1957 Coupe, but case number (P*65947) shows it as 1958 A Normal. Many miscellaneous parts including one complete tool kit and ski rack. Most of the tin from the unassembled engine have been bead blasted and looks new. Two cranks, extra pistons and cylinder. Case and heads bead blasted then just wrapped and stored. Several clutchs, stinger exhaust etc. etc.
September 2001 UPDATE: These cars have been sold, actually, according to buyer, he sold them again before even picking them up. Last conversation with original owner, they are still in the barns awaiting pickup.
Did I miss a good deal?
They sold for $20,000 - your comments appreciated.
