To paraphrase someone, "The Street Rod is the only original American car design". When I was young they were Hot Rods, but that is another story. I am a lifelong car nut and my car adventure began with a '1950 Ford in 1952. It was midlife before I built my first Street Rod, thanks to the help and talent of Randy Mead of Ravon Street Rods. The result was the '32 Ford 3-window coupe at bottom of page.

Would I build another one? Probably not! Although they are fun to work on and look at, they don't give me the adrenalin rush I get driving sports cars - particularly old ones.

This "Little Deuce Coupe" was my first Street Rod. Built over a 2 year period, I got in two years of Rod Runs and Cruising before selling it to a rodder in Northern California. The car is now in Southern California cruising the beaches and am sure has found a home.
