Voted the 10 FAVORITE ROAD Rides in Ohio.

Sometimes you don't want a "tour" with a clear destination and a premarked
route; you just want to ride.  As with any list of favorites you may either
agree or disagree, but you don't know until you've tried them:

SR 555, along its entire length. Be careful though!

SR 676 from its intersection with 555 north of Bartlett, to Marietta.

SR 146 out of Zanesville, to its intersection with SR 83. Proceed South on SR
83 to its intersection to SR 78, then south to Glouster and SR 13. Follow SR
13 North to
SR 37, then SR 37 West to Lancaster.

>From Gallipolis in southern Ohio proceed West on SR 141 to SR 775; SR 775
South to Scottown, then SR 217 East a few miles to SR 218; then 218 North to
SR 7 North and Gallipolis.

SR 56 from Laurelville to Athens. Take US 22 West of Lancaster to SR 159
West; then left on SR 56 at Leistville all the way to Athens; retrace your
steps back to Lancaster.

SR 78 from Glouster to McConnelsville: beautiful horizon views on a winding
twisty road. What more could you want?

SR 550 from Athens to Marietta. Just east of Sharpsburg is a really
interesting set of twisties crossing the ridge. Enjoy!

SR 26 North and East out of Marietta. Lots of twisties and lots of covered
bridges to stop at and enjoy just off the highway.

SR 681 from the Athens County community of Albany East to the river; then
take SR 124 North to Hockingport.

SR 377 from its intersection with SR 78 just west of Malta south to its
intersection with SR 550. At Todds be sure to observe one of the finest
examples of "Carpenter Gothic" church architecture I have seen (the Todds
United Methodist Church, just off 377 at Todds).
