How of the money that is given to Charlee goes to the children?
Over 85% goes to directly helping the children.
2) What is Charlee's Goal?
To put our clients into a permenent family care or adoptive care setting.
If this is not possible we will train the child with pre-independent living
skills so that when they turn 18 they will be able to lead a productive
life as an adult within the community.
3) How old are our clients?
Our clients range age between 5-18 years old.
4) What is a pre-independent living program?
This program trains older children to live as an adult outside of the
foster care system. We teach them how to create a budget, write checks,
pay bills and other skills needed to live independently.
5) What is a group home?
A group home is a residentual care faculty where a houseparent takes care
of several of clients. This home is in a community setting and mimics
a real life family environment. Our clients attend public schools and
participates in community activities.
6) What types of clients do we serve?
Are clients have been severely abused and neglected. They exhibit mild
to severe behavior distrubances. We provide therapeutic counceling to
help them deal with their problems and adjust to a stable and safe environment.
7) How long has CHARLEE been in Central Florida?
CHARLEE has been here providing services since 1984.
