Our History is Rich
Civil War history has been captured at Chattanooga/Chickamauga National
Park, the nation's oldest military park, which includes breathtaking Point
Park on Lookout Mountain and Signal Point on Signal Mountain, Missionary
Ridge, Orchard Knob, and other significant sites. There is easily a weekend's
worth of enjoyment for the Civil War enthusiast, and the Battles for Chattanooga
Museum and the Chickamauga Park Visitor's Center are good orientation points.
We're known for Family Fun
Chattanooga and the surrounding area has built its reputation on family
fun. Lookout Mountain has played host to generations of guests coming to
enjoy Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway. Now the Tennessee Aquarium,
the IMAX 3-D Theater, the Creative Discovery Children's Museum and the Southern
Belle riverboat have added their names to the growing list of destinations
suited to children of all ages and their parents and grandparents. In this
city known for trains, the Tennessee valley Railroad will let you experience
