You may be "Internetically Incorrect". You might be wasting lots of your money. I've been to tens of thousands of web sites in the five years I've been online. Most of them, I will never, ever return to again. Posting just a name and address on a web site is not enough today. It MUST be interesting, entertaining, and have the latest "gizmos" to make your repeat web surfers, and yes your repeat web customers, clicking back again and again. Think about the web pages that are bookmarked in your FAVORITES folder. Thats where you want people to add your new web address. Your page can be interesting enough to have other sites that will want to share valuable links with you.

Promises....Promises

Here is the big lie you are told. "Your web site will have thousands of hits and people will be waving there credit cards under your nose trying to buy your product."Please don't believe this. There are ways to write web pages and submit the information so that your web page can be found on the net. Yes there "are" tricks to accomplish this, but they are not SECRET formulas, just good site authoring. If your product is what they are looking for, then you will have buyers.

What would you give to have a web site online that would have one person visit, every single hour, 24 hours, a day, for three and a half years? Mine does. My personal home page speaks for itself with actual hits and growing. Do the math (go ahead) 24 hours x 365 days x 3.5 years) you will see the real potential here. Ask the "competition" how many hits on their pages and go look for yourself. Then you may want to find out exactly how much money you will have to make just to "break even" with the high cost of writing the page and having it published. Consider your online fees, and monthly page maintainance in the formula. This is your investment. Figure your profit per item and then how many new cutomers per year you need to make this jump to the internet. This is business.

Always remember, you got online for one reason. Think about the first time you logged on. It was fun! Personal Web pages keep it that way. You may not be selling a "widget," but perhaps you just want to show the world your favorite car, or guitar. You can have a web page featuring the family pet, or the best way kids can fold a paper airplane. See? There is room for you on the net too! My original web site was about a favoite TV show and it just "blossomed" from there. Share the fun with the rest of the world, that kind of fun that makes you happy! I've had e-mail replies from over 20 countries including Korea, Scotland, Germany, Spain amd New Zealand! The entire world awaits you. Someone in Peking could be looking at your Peek-A Poo puppy online right now. These kinds of pages are my favorites to surf, and are a labor of love to write.
