"They invade our space, and we fall back, they assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not Again! The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they've done!"
"Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the darkside.
You will pay the price for your lack of vision!"

Welcome!
This is the homepage for the Star Wars vs. Star Trek Webring, a group of pages dedicated to the comparison of these two science fiction universes. This discussion is viewed anywhere from extreme light-heartedness to borderline religion, and anywhere in between. If you have a site that you would like to add to the ring, please let us know! The details of joining are available below.

What is a Webring?
A Webring is a group of pages with a similar theme (in this case, Star Wars vs. Star Trek) that are connected together through a special set of links. You can travel throughout the ring by going forward, backwards, flying about to random sites in the ring, or selecting specific sites from a list. Regardless of what you choose, though, you will have a site dedicated to the topic you're interested in.
Why join a Webring?
A Webring helps everybody! The visitor to the page gets to visit sites they may never have been too because the page was a member of the ring. The webmaster benefits by increasing the number of visitors to their site. It's truly a win-win situation!
How do I qualify to join?
The requirements are virtually nill. There is NO fee involved or any other "strings attached". The only thing you need to qualify is the following:
1) A site or section (minimum of one full page) dedicated to comparing Star Wars and Star Trek. This can take the form of either technology comparisons, Fanfiction, battle simulations, specially created media, or anything else related to the subject. It is NOT for people who have a site about either Star Wars or Star Trek, or for those who even discuss both (there are other rings for these kinds of sites already). This is about comparisons: similarities and differences.
2) No content requiring an "18 or older" type warning. This includes sexually explicit stories or images, or images of gore that should not be viewed by a minor. A page with particularly "graphic" commentary should have some kind of warning.

Being removed from the webring.
You leave the webring in one of two ways.
1) You ask to leave the ring.
2) You are kicked out.
What?!! You can kick me out?! Yes, but only if there's no other alternative. Basically, if your site no longer fits the criteria stated above, or if you don't display the webring banner, you can be removed. The ringmaster does reserve the right to remove any page for any reason, but it is a policy that we all hope will never need to be enforced.
How to join the webring.
To start with, you'll need to fill out the form located below. Make sure you fill in ALL the fields before submitting to avoid problems. If you get an error saying "LOCKED", back up and wait thirty seconds and try again; it should then work. If the problem still occurs, try filling out the form later on, as the ring may be undergoing maintenance at the moment. We want your site!

Once you've submitted your site and have added the HTML code above you can complete the process by e-mailing the
ringmaster and telling him you've added a site to the ring. Please include the site's URL to speed up the process. After that, the ringmaster will check the page to ensure it meets the criteria and that you've properly added the webring banner, and then adds it to the ring. It may take some time for it to actually appear in the ring list, but don't worry, it's in there.
