Meet more of the people nearest and dearest to me: My Family!
I will fill in more details later, but I at least wanted to show the world what we are about: FAMILY! :-)
To all my Aunts and Cousins representing 'Clan Jacobsen' (and in everlasting tribute to Grandpa Carl, Gramdma Sue, Uncle Dick, and Aunt 'Marza'),
Thank You very much for being a part of my life and heritage. :-)
All photos on this page were taken by me, using my Samsung Maxima 105 Zoom Camera and Kodak Gold MAX 800 film, except where otherwise noted.

My Great Uncle, Alvin Jacobsen Sr., passed away very tragically at an early age, but he left behind 1 son and 7 daughters whom he loved very much. The
'Jake-ee' Girls is the term our family has affectionately used for decades to describe Alvin Sr.'s wonderful girls. Cindy and Jackie have known me
since May, 1980, and I met Kay for the first time on Easter Sunday, 1999. Cousin Jean would always tell me stories about the other 4 cousins, and on July 15, 2000,
I finally met, in person, Alvin Jr. ('Sonny'), Marcia, Vivian, and Sherry. The five cousins in attendance all swear I am a dead ringer for their Uncle (my
Grandpa) Carl! :-) Sonny is the last male in the line, unfortunately... Jackie has two wonderful daughters, though, and Courtney and Miranda
take after their mother's side of the family. Carol is the only one I haven't met yet, and shame on me for forgetting to mention her before.
First, the Easter 2000 and 1999 Pictures, featuring:
Ernest J. (EJ) & Kay (Jacobsen) Zeleny
Pat, Jackie (Jacobsen), Courtney & Miranda Henkle
Bob & Cindy (Jacobsen) Moran
Jean (Richeson) Fowler
Jean and Miranda are in a deep discussion, and Jackie says something about their dad that makes Cindy fondly remember.
Check out three generations of Jacobsen-derived cousins (with matching cheekbones, even)!
Me, with Cindy and Jackie, as Jean and Miranda join in the smilefest! Photo taken by Kay.
(L-R) Jackie, Jean, Cindy, Bob, EJ, Courtney, Pat, and Alice load up on BBQ food.
Cindy slices up a chocolate cake as Alice, Jean, and Jackie look on.
Cindy serves up the cake as Alice, Jean, Jackie, and Miranda's boyfriend, Ryan look on.
EASTER 1999
Cindy, Jackie, Courtney, and Kay savor the selection, as Miranda washes veggies.
Kay fills her plate as Jean uses her antiquated Kodak Ektacolor II 110 camera to take a photo of Bob and Cindy.
JULY 15, 2000
House-pitality, Jacobsen style! Featuring:
Alvin Jr. ('Sonny') & Dorothy ('Dot') Jacobsen
Marcia (Jacobsen) Milford
Sherry (Jacobsen) Kerr
Vivian Jacobsen (soon-to-be Daugert)
Alice (Jacobsen) Richeson
Jean (Richeson) Fowler
(L-R) Dot, Alice, Vivian, Stanley Daugert, Sherry, Marcia, and Sonny, with Sherry's grandkids Jordan and Cody.
(L-R) Alice stands beside Vivian, Sherry, Marcia, and Sonny, as Dot and Jordan look on.
I hate it when the natural lighting tricks the camera's sensors....
Sherry passes Alice the salad.
Sherry hands Cody and Jordan napkins as Sonny and Jean (with camcorder in hand) look on.
Is it possible that I am a dead ringer for my Grandpa Carl? Cousins Sherry, Sonny, Marcia, and Vivian all think so, as do Aunt Alice and Cousin Jean. LOL :-)
BONUS PICTURE!
NORMA (CHRISTENSEN) GRÜBER
Cousin Norma and Aunt Alice in Alice's backyard, June 17, 2000.
Howdy, Cousin Norma! I have not seen you as often as Kim, Faith and my Mom have over the years, but we are still family, and we always will be. You thanked me for visiting your Mother (Aunt Martha). The time I have lived in Spokane has given me a chance to get to know my Aunties and Cousins better, and vice-versa. Your mother made it possible for my mother to be here, and thus, the three of us Smiths, and for that we all shall be eternally grateful. We have a lot of common heritage, despite the age and geographic differences that kept us apart for so long. :-)
