Our 'Main Desk"... As you enter the building through the
front door and turn to the left, you'll see our main desk and the door to the 'pro' shop. |
| The OGC Pro Shop...
We try to stock just about
everything a male or female gymnast might need. Actually, gymnasts come from other
clubs as well as the local university just to shop at OGC. |

Our waiting area for brothers...
sisters...
Up on the second floor over the
office area is a special area set up just for children to play in while they wait. Parents
help us keep it clean. The door on the right enters into our 'new' developmental
preschool area. This is a more specialized area than the downstairs preschool area. |
Our Viewing area...In
front of the children's area above is the parents viewing area. They have a complete
view overlooking the entire gym. |
 |
 |
Our 'upstairs' preschool area...
Looking at the next few
pictures, you will see a slide, two forts (one 2-story and one 3-story which disappears
into the ceiling), two preschool trampolines and a pit. What you don't see are the
tunnels built around the pit and the trampolines which open into the bottom floor of the
forts. |
| Still in the upstairs preschool.. From the 3rd. floor of the corner
fort is a tubular slide which opens into the preschool pit. |
 |
 |
Another View... Two preschool trampolines are built
into the corner of the new upstairs preschool area...
A walkway down the sides of
the trampolines covers tunnels which lead back to the forts. |
| The downstairs preschool area borders
the boys equipment... This
preschool area includes boys and girls equipment, all kinds of mats of different shapes
and a 30 foot tumble tramp. We're back on the main floor now and as you pass the
front desk and enter the gym, this area is on the right side as soon as you pass through
the doors. Students enter through the locker rooms. |
 |
 |
The "Beam" area...6
official beams, 2 low beams and 7 floor beams of various sizes...
While our whole gym is
set up for classes and team workout, careful scheduling decreases conflicts. This area is
on your left as soon as you enter the gym. |
| Trampolines... Four in-ground trampolines, a tumble
tramp, spotting belts and a bungee system over one of the trampolines...
As you look deeper into the
gym, this area is just off the beam area. On the right you can start to make out the
uneven bar
area. |

|
The Bar Area... Four sets of unevens, three single
low bars, a pit/porta-pit bar, a strap bar and a tunnel/channel bar...
Our pit bar opens to the pit
on one side and a 32" in ground porta-pit on the other side. It can easily be
converted to a high bar for the boys. The tunnel bar is also build into the ground and
serves a secondary purpose...we put a slide down into it for preschool..once down in the
tunnel, they have to climb out using a rope ladder. |
| Our 60' x 60' floor exercise area... We wanted a 'big' floor exercise area
and, we use it all. It is used for multiple stations during class. Not shown
are four climbing ropes and 5 single rings (about 8 feet apart) which can be lowered over
this area. The ropes are used for climbing and the rings...well, swinging from one
to the next until you get to the fifth and than swings back builds strength. |

The Pit.... Vaulting & Tumbling Both of the
vaulting strips are also
used for tumbling. The strip on the left goes into our large loose foam pit
while the one on the right opens to a 32" porta pit. Off to the left you can
see the upright for the pit bar which has a foam pit off one end and a porta-pit off the
other end. We also have a trolley for our 60 foot zip line which
goes from the orange cone to the pit when the bars are taken down....kind of a neat attraction for open gyms and birthday parties...it is fully padded
underneath until the child 'lets go' into the pit. |
