The Janissary Group provides training in firearms and less-lethal weapons for law enforcement and civilians. Utilizing our private range in Southwest Louisiana, students can expect interesting courses designed to maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses. David A. Armstrong, Ph.D., is the primary instructor, and brings to the training over 20 years of field experience, coupled with the theoretical foundations of scientific study. This combination of theory and reality sets the Janissary Group training programs apart from most other schools. Dr. Armstrong is a graduate of training programs from Thunder Ranch, DTI, Gunsite, SigArms, Smith
&
Wesson Academy, and many others. He has achieved instructor ratings from the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training, Police Officer Standards and Training, the National Rifle Association, Glock Firearms, and Defense Training International, and is the former Louisiana State Director of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET).

I offers a unique opportunity to the student through a combined arms seminar. We now offer 2 days of shotgun or rifle, followed by 3 days of handgun. Students can sign up for either or both seminars.
