- Grandmaster is a martial art term with basicly two types of meaning. The first type
is the individual who is the head instructor of a martial art style or organization. The
second type is the individual who has reached a certain level of skill and knowledge in a
particular martial art and been graded to a very high grade level, usually 8th and 9th degree
black belt, in Korean organizations. Typically, a grandmaster has taught students to become
masters. Grandmaster can be thought of as a teacher of masters.
- Ground strength vector is a phrase devised by Mike Sigman as an explanation of the
Chinese concept of qi or chi. It is a method of aligning the body to use the energy contained
in the joints rather than using just muscular strength.
