Weapon forms of Koyamakan Karate
The weapons included in Koyamakan karate system are the bo (staff), the sai, the kama, the
nunchaku, the tonfa, and the oar (eku).>
Staff forms
- Shushi no kun means the staff of Sushi. This routine is the first staff form required for Yonkyu, green belt in Koyamakan karate.
- Shushi no kun dai means the major staff of Sushi. This routine is the second staff form required for Yonkyu.
- Shushi no kun sho means the minor staff of Sushi. This routine is the third staff form required for Yonkyu.
- Matsu Higa no kon means the staff of Matsu Higa. This staff routine is required for Sankyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.
- Sakugawa no kun means the staff of Sakugawa. This staff routine is required for Nikyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.
- Sakugawa no kun dai means the major staff of Sakugawa. This staff routine is required for Nikyu, brown belt.
- Sakugawa no kun sho means the minor staff of Sakugawa. This staff routine is required for Nikyu, brown belt.
- Tokumine no kun means the staff of Tokumine. This staff routine is required for Shodan, beginning black belt, in Koyamakan karate.
Sai forms
- Matsu Higa no Sai means the sai of Matsu Higa. This sai routine is required for Sankyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.

- Matsu Higa no tonfa means the tonfa of Matsu Higa. This tonfa routine is required for Sankyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.
- Hama Higa no tonfa means the tonfa of Hama Higa. This tonfa routine is required for Ikkyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.
Eku forms
- Hama Higa no Eku Bo means the oar of Hama Higa. This oar routine is required for Ikkyu, brown belt, in Koyamakan karate.
