This is a   fibreglass bodied kitcar with a sheet steel backbone chassis similar to the chassis in a Lotus Elan. The Bolwell was an Australian made car which was designed to use front suspension, rear axle housing and engine/gearbox assembly from a 1966 General Motors Holden HR model. The engine is apushrod 3litre straight six.The original Bolwell MK7 prototype   had a top speed of around 120MPH in 1967 It weighed approx 1800lbs. Bolwell next made a car called the Nagari which was only available fully built up from the factory. They had a Ford 302 in them at first and a bit later the Ford 351. They weighed around 2000lbs so you can imagine what sort of  performance they had.Bolwell only build about 400 Mk7's and about 130 Nagari's There are still a lot on the road here.I've included a pic of each one for you to have a look at.
