We have learned that our good friends at svsubwoofers.com may now be able to help with North American sales of RCM Akustik subwoofer amps. The folks at SV are not only very trustworthy, but also good people -- so they will make a good pairing with the incredible RCM amps.
IMPORTANT NEWS
After some very difficult consideration, on August 21, 2000, I made the decision to close down Jack Burnett Associates. This is a particularly painful process because of all of the great friends and customers we have had over the years.
This in no way is a reflection on RCM Akustik or their amps, which remain, to my knowledge, the very best powered sub amp value on the market today. Quite simply, it is because of a desire to have more time to spend with my friends and family here in beautiful New Hampshire. We have a number of enterprises, and something had to give.
Thus we are no longer taking orders. More important, RCM Akustik, at this time, does not seem interested in selling its amps one at a time into North America. If you would like to talk with them about that or anything else, please contact them at: rcmakustik@t-online.de

Everyone at RCM speaks English, so there are no problems there.
A few notes for anyone who wants to ask RCM about buying an individual amp:
1. Expect to pay UPS $25-$30 per amp in shipping/customs upon delivery, so the RCM price should be correspondingly less than mine.
2. You will need a power cord from Mouser, #173-21101, $3.65, 1-800-346-6873.
3. You will need a fuse, 4A slo-blo 5mm x 20mm glass, from Radio Shack, #270-1066, 4 for $1.99.
4. To convert your amp, throw the switch from 230V to 115V, substitute the cord and fuse, and you are ready to go.
I emphasize, though, that RCM does not want to sell individual units into North America, so they may take some persuading.
In closing, I would also like to point out to our existing customers that their warranties have NOT changed in any way. We are not going anywhere, and this is not a distressed or emergency situation in any way -- just a lifestyle decision.
