Instructions for Genealogy pages

1. Name Index -- Select the index based on the last name, then click on the individual name to jump to the appropriate surname page. Once there you may still need to hunt a little for the name.
2. Pedigree Charts -- Above are two "pedigree charts" (one for Dennis, one for Holly) that show our ancestors back to our great-grandparents. Simply click on the name of one of our great-grandparents to be transported to the page for that surname (and related sideshoots).

When you click on the name of one of the great-grandparents you are transported to the page for that surname. There the screen will typically be divided into two "windows" or "frames" -- the frame on the left lists direct-line ancestors (with spouse(s) and children) in order from the earliest generation to the latest*. This format allows you to easily see the families for each generation without the distraction of other sideshoots. BUT if you WANT to see the sideshoots, well, that's the purpose of the right frame. Click on a name in the left frame, and sideshoot info appears for that person in the right frame (note that you can move the dividing line between the frames to adjust their widths). For sideshoots, it boils down to this -- click on a sibling and see their descendants; click on a spouse and see their ancestors and siblings (and maybe some additional sideshoots for their line). Well maybe it's hard to explain in words so just go ahead and try it. Don't be bashful about clicking around on the various links; if you get lost simply click on [HOME] to return to this page.

* PLEASE NOTE

• Some older web browsers don't support "frames" so if you have problems reading the next level of genealogy pages, you may need to update your browser. If that's not the problem, then send us an e-mail and we'll see what we can do to get family info to you.
• For sake of privacy, persons born after about 1915 are not included (except for us and our parents).
