There is no clear understanding what makes a person start to look back into the past, when things seemed to be simpler and less confusing. What drives a man to look at old pictures and coerce family and friends to look at them, knowing that neither family or friends can relate to the events the pictures record? Is it that first signal of realizing one's age is now an issue not to be dealt with by looking forward, but venturing into the past?
The adventure began on a late night visit to the vast ocean of the Internet. One evening in October of 1998, I shot signals flares from my life boat (the home PC) searching for a nostalgic visit to the USS Hancock-CVA-19, or Sangley Point Naval Station.
After numerous attempts, Angels One from Jake's "Yankee Station" spotted my rescue flares and brought me aboard for a "Two Year CyberSpace Cruise" on the internet version of the USS Hancock CVA-19.

And after recovery and a brief tour of "Yankee Station", the call sign for the USS Hancock CVA-19 Memorial Internet Site, the new "Let the Adventure Begin" journey started! !
