How to Take Measurements

Measurements: Give me accurate measurements and I will allow any EXTRA ROOM for comfort as needed. Hold tape measure snug but not tight. Generally, I allow plenty of growing room around arms, bust, waist.

1. Bust-Around the fullest part

2. Waist-around the narrowest part

4. Hips- around fullest part

5. Total Dress length- measure one of your dresses of desired length from the top of the shoulder down to the hem.

6. For sleeve length- top of shoulder down to wrist or for short sleeves, down to where you want sleeve to end. A. short sleeve

B. long sleeve

7. Short sleeves-Around arm above elbow

8. Long sleeve- around wrist

9. Top of shoulder from side to side: Take a dress that fits you well. Lay it on a table flat. Measure as the picture shows.

10. Bust measurement on a dress. Lay same dress as above and measure across the bust and double for the back.

11. Waist measurement on a dress. Same as above except measure the waist and double for the back.

12. Front waist on a dress. Measure as the photo shows from the top of shoulder seam to where the skirt attaches to the waist.

13. Back waist on a dress. Measure your dress as the photo shows. Make sure this dress has a neckline that is not lower than usual at the back of the neck. Be best to have one that has a collar.
