Marion was the son of James and Amelia Virginia (Griffin) Wilson. Amelia (b. 1849 d. 1924) was the gg-granddaughter of Thomas and Isabelle (Wright) Harbert. JOHN GRANT HARBERT
I am looking for the names of the parents of John Grant Harbert, who was born in Jackson, Mississippi, possibly in the early 1900's. His father was said to be a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River. His mother possibly was Nancy Kirkland, born in Alabama. Anyone researching the Harberts from the Southeastern U.S.?? Any info would be appreciated.

I am John A. Frederick. My gt-gt-grandfather was William S. Harbert (1841-1919). He was born in Terre Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana. His father was Soloman Harbert, and his grandfather was Hezekiah Harbert. Unfortunately I have no hard information concerning ancestry beyond this. MATILDA (SHINN) HARBERT
I am trying to identify where Matilda (Shinn) Harbert (b. 1805 Harrison County, [West] Virginia) died and complete the family history of Maria Harbert Reynolds, daughter of Matilda. Matilda married William Harbert in 1823. I can't find any evidence of Matilda's or Maria's death and very little about Maria's children.  John and Maria (Harbert) Reynold's son, Roy, was a banker in Vancouver, WA, died in CA and buried in Forest Grove, OR. I'm looking in WA and OR sources for any evidence of Roy and possibly about his parents. I would appreciate any information on these families.
