Micheal,
I read in a magizine that a Stryper reunion is being
planned. Is this true? What have The other members of Stryper
been doing?
P.S.I'm a huge fan of Stryper and your solo albums.
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
There's no reunion of Stryper being planned, but it has been
talked about. It may happen down the road, but not in the
near future. The other guys are all still playing music.
They each have been in several different bands
Thanks for getting my solo albums Jay.

My record company tells me a couple of things you can try.
1-800-299-6299 will hook you up with the closest Parable
Store near you. Also, when your at your favoriate record
store, make sure you look in the Chrsitian and the pop/rock
sections. Different stores put it in different places.
Plus, any store can order it. Tell them it is on Benson
records. It's been doing great so it just may be out of
stock. THanks for keeping looking.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get a
tour schedule for Michael Sweet. He has been my favorite
musician for the past 12 years. I saw Stryper twice in
concert and I also saw Michael's solo tour in 1994. I would
love to see him in concert again. I live in the Baltimore
area, but I would be willing to travel a good distance if I
had to in order to see him in concert. Thanks for your
help.
Kevin
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Thanks for asking, I just moved to Boston so I'm now living
in your part of the country. My agent is now booking
concerts for 96 so give my management company a call & see
if one of them is close enough. Call Rendy Lovelady
Management at 601-924-2916.

Hi!
If you could record a duet with anyone, who would you want
to sing with & why ?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
I'd love to record with Ashley Cleveland, (by the way..she
won a grammy last night), or Amy Grant. I think they're
both very talented.

Michael,
Are there any plans (temporary or permanent) for you to
reunite with Stryper? I have both of your solo albums and
they are very good. But, will you ever play metal again? No
matter what kind of music you record I'll get it.
Rich
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Metal again? Maybe, it just depends on where I go
musically. I like to do different things and I might like
to do a harder album again someday. We'll both have to wait
and see.
As for Stryper, there are no current plans to get back
together, but it could happen in the future.
Thanks for your support.

Hi!
While shopping at the Christian music bookstore last night,
I noticed a Stryper tribute album.
Do you have this album? Any comments on it?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
I don't have the album, but I have 5 or 6 songs. I wasn't
envolved in the creation of it, so I'm not really up to
speed on it. Sorry I don't know more.

Hi!
I see that VH1 is rerunning the old American Bandstand
programs.
Someone here mentioned that they saw Stryper on this show.
Do you remember being on American Bandstand?
Any stories from that day?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Yes Stryper did plan on Bandstand and I remember that day
well. I was extremely nervous. The song we played was
Honestly which was one of our biggest hit singles and
videos. Watch for it...maybe they'll play it again.

Hi!
Are you working on a new album right now?
How do you get ideas for new projects?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
I am working on ideas for a new album but just writing &
demos for now. No direction or details yet. I look for
song ideas everyday as they come from all different places.

DEAR MICHAEL,
I RECENTLY GOT MARRIED AND MY INLAWS GO TO CHURCH EVERY
SUNDAY. THEY ARE EPISCOPALIAN AND THAT CHURCH IS WHERE I WAS
MARRIED. CAN YOU EXPLAIN OR TRY TO, DEFINE WHAT CHRISTIAN
MEANS? DO THEY BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY WAY FOR US TO GO TO
HEAVEN IS TO ONLY BELIEVE IN THEIR RELIGION.
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Christianity to me is being "Christ Like," not going to a
certain church. Going to church doesn't make you a
Christian but following Christ does. Religion is not what
gets you to heaven. Heaven is for those that have given
their heart to Jesus.

From: J MARK KOCH (QTJF26A)
Dear Michael,
I have enjoyed listening to you sing for quite a few
years. I have a couple Stryper CD's. I love them! I don't
have any of you solo CD's.I might like to own one, but I
can't afford to buy one now. The one thing I would like to
know from you is, why does it cost so much to go to
Christian concerts? In the Bible it says to go forth and
preach the gospel. Does that mean only the people that can
afford to buy the concert tickets will be able to hear the
gospel? I do understand it cost a lot of money for putting
on a concert, but I also think you are making a lot of money
to.Do you think Jesus would have had so many followers if
he charged admission.I just feal that some christian singers
are getting rich off of Jesus' death. He didn't die so that
some of us could have a lot of money.
Brenda
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
I agree if there are artists trying to get rich off Christ,
they are wrong, but you may be overlookign that I have to
put food on the table for my family. This is my job. I
agree putting millions in your pocket off christ is wrong.
But I disagree with some of your thoughts because artists do
have to eat, pay bills, etc., just like everyone else.

From: JEFF WOOLDRIDGE (RLER70A)
Dear Michael:
Just wanted to ask you when you'll be coming to the Southern
California area, namely Temecula? The last time you were in
San Diego my wife and I bought tickets and then the promoter
Canceled the show because he didn't sell enough tickets. It
was really a bummer.
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
My booking agent is booking dates for '96 right now. As of
today, nothing is planned yet in that area but I hope they
work something out. I'd love to play Temecula. If you
want to check on it again, call my management at
601-924-2916.

Hi Michael!
I'm hearing rumors that you cut your hair.
Is this true?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Yes I did, but not all that short. I took off about 10
inches, but it's still shoulder length.

Hi!
What are your goals in life, in music, and for your

To share the love of God in all that I do and give all the

Hi!
What do you want to communicate to your listeners?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A

I want people to receive the message of Christ through my
music and life, but in a way they can relate to.
--Michael
From: DIANA MORRIS (YWDX42A)
Hi!
Do people ever mistake you for someone else?
If yes, do tell us about it.
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Not really...I have had people tell me I look like Elvis,
(guess it's the side burns), and Steven Segal (must be the
hair), at times.
--Michael
From: DIANA MORRIS (YWDX42A)
Hi Michael!
I've seen your "Ain't no safe way" music video aired on
Z Music, Lightmusic and other Christian music video
programs.
Did MTV or VH1 ever air this video?
Has it received any airplay on other music video channels or
programs?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Time: 02/25 11:30 PM
No, MTV rejected "Ain't No Safe Wa, (we believe due to the
position content matter),. I don't think VH1, (which is
owned by MTV), played it either. Christian video shows were
great with it and all my videos. They've been very
supportive.

Hi!
I hear that you're filming a new music video.
Can you tell us about it?
Who is the director & producer?
In Joy! Diana Morris, bb leader, YWDX42A
From: MICHAEL SWEET (VREB09C)
Yes, the video is "Real," the title cut to my new album. We
shot it in the Norfok/Virginia Beach area. We even shot on
top of a 25 story building. It was a great time. The
director is editing right now and they hope to have it to
the video shows by early April. The director is Joe
Kickasola and the producers are Ken Gurtz and Greg Flick.

Hi there again Mike!
I just read in Heaven's Metal Magazine that you'll be doing
two different tours.Could you please explain to all of us
exactly what these two are going to be like? How are they
different?
Also, will you be stopping anywhere in Wisconsin?Such as
Milwaukee for example.I hope so, because it was kind of a
bummer not having the last tour run through this city. Thanks
a lot!God Bless and Good Luck!

Jeff

I would also like to know about the upcoming tour. I am
interested in if the tour will be going through the
Maryland, Virginia, D.C, Pennsylvania area. I saw the last
tour and have been looking forward to seeing Michael again
for the past two years.

I plan on going out with Nouveaux who is getting ready to

MR. MICHAEL SWEET,
What a pleasure to see you in prodigy, I'm new here
also, well it's been a couple years anyway.
I'll be looking forward to seeing you in Elgin, ILL. on
April 13th, at the Wonderland Ballroom.
How do you like touring with Holy Soldier? I really
enjoyed your last tour to this area with Nouveaux, and
Imagine This. The lyrics to many of your songs really touch
my heart, and my son who's 9 now, says you are his favorite.
He takes after his dad.

I still do go out after every show that I possibly can and
meet people and sign autographs. I really enjoy getting to
talk to people one on one. Oz is workign in the LA area and
still doing music. He is in the studio recording a demo.

I guess it depends on my mood.
