We have alot of goals in our music and ministry. As
musicians, we desire to be the best we can be. We try to
approach our music with excellence because we believe God's
people should be excellent in what we do. Look at 1 Cor
10:31.

HI EAST TO WEST. I LIKE YOUR MUSIC. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE
SONG?
From: EAST TO WEST (VREB09D)
Hey Scott -
Thanks for the compliments! We have alot of musical
influences. They are Kenny Loggins, George Michaels (for
vocal reasons), Chicago, 4HIM, Toto, etc. We don't have any
immediate tour dates in Washington but hopefully we'll make
it there sometime this year. Maybe we'll see you there.

Don't know if this question was to us or not...but if it
was, we aren't familar with Bobby's music. Sounds great
though... (Neal and Jay of East To West)

good and certainly carries the message. Has several cds out

Hey. Thanks for writing, or should we say typing. Yes, Jay
plays bass, I (Neal) sing, Paul Brittian has been playing
guitar with East To West for 2 years. Alot of our dates
this Spring are with the band - but their more of a "mini
band" setting. So...on these dates Paul only plays
accoustic guitar. Ashley Appling is our road manager and
drummer. He played with East To West the first time we ever
played together at Atlanta Fest '92. The last few years he
has been with Al Denson, & is now back on the road with us.

So you say us at Jesus Northwest? We had a great time there
last year. I'm not sure if we're playing JN this year or
not yet. You might want to ask the people who put the
festival on.
As far as our favorite bible verses: mine (Neal) is John
16:33, because it spoke to me at a time when I really needed
to hear it. Even though things get tough & we have a hard
time, it's great to know God is in control of our problems.
Jay's favorite verse if Romans 8:28. (Neal Coomer of East

Hi Jay and Neal,
Welcome to Prodigy!! I've seen you in concert at Jesus
Northwest here in Vancouver, WA 2 years in a row, and I
can't wait to see you this year! My question is this: Do
either of you have a favorite Bible verse, and what caused
it to be your favorite?

sound. Your music truly blesses me. Ya'll are one of my top
favorites. Keep up the good work and God bless you!!!!

Hey Destry,
Of course I remember you. And I've got too many good
stories on Jon to ever forget him. Tell him hello. As far
as being in the Atlanta area, I don't think we'll be around
there until late Summer. Maybe we'll see you then.

Hey! We haven't heard Pam or her music. Sounds like she's
pertty good judging from your high marks. As far as
suggestions, we're very unfamiliar with bluegrass or
Christian country, but we know it can be tough getting
things started. However, no matter the type of music, if we
put God first, He will then open the doors and pave the way
that we are to serve Him with our gifts. God Bless (Jay

Hey Kelli-
Did you enjoy the Newsong concert? I'm sure you did. So
you saw us at Freedom '95? Pretty windy that night huh?
Too bad you missed our concert with Wes King at Prestonwood.
It was a great night.
Best of luck finishing school. Keep singing and letting God
use you. You'll be surprised what He can do. (Neal and Jay

Hi and welcome to Cyberspace, do either of you get on line
much (if you find the time from touring)? I was
thinking that being on the road, e-mail would be one
way to keep in touch with the home front. Okay, standard
tourist question :-), what's with the name of the group?
Something to do with sins being tossed? Thanx for
stopping by, Lord Bless & Abide (He promised)

Keith -
Hey! We're both pretty new to Cyberspace. But I think I
could get the hang of this. The name East To West is from
scripture. Psalms 103:12. It was suggested to us by our
producer Don Koch & and it really fit well with our message
of God's grace - so it stuck. God Bless. Remember, with
Him, there are no yesterdays - He doesn't hold your past
against you.

I wish! Oddly enough, "Welcome to the Next Level" was
already cut before Sega came out with the slogan. But it
would have been ok if they wanted to use East To West's
music for the ads. We do see alot of youth groups &
conventions using the song as their them.

Thanks for writing. I'm glad you like "This Time Around."
I don't know why Christian music is not very accessible in
N.Y. I know the record companies try to make the Cd
accessible through the Christian bookstores, but as far as
radio and concerts, I don't know.
As far as advice reaching young people...I know you have
your hands full with 6th & 7th graders. What I have found
is th emost successful tool in reaching kids is establighing
trust and a relationship with them and remaining a
consistant example to them. They need to have someone to
look up to who they can trust & consider a friend. THen
they'll listen to what you have to say. God Bless (Neal &
Jay of East To West)

Hi Neal and Jay!
I love both of your albums. "This Time Around" is my
favorite song.
I live in NY (1 hour north of NYC) and find that Christian
music is hard to find around here. I teach 6th and 7th
grade Sunday school and always think about how much
Christian music would help them relate what they hear in
church to the real world. I'm 25 and it helps me a lot.
Two questions:
1. Is there any advice that you have for trying to reach
young people?
2. Why is Christian music so hard to find in NY? Do you
see this problem changing in the future?
Thanks again for all your great music. I look forward to
more in the future.
Christine
Please come to NY for a concert!!
