Official Modus Operandi Profile! Contest

Every Character has a history, a life story, a profile that is exculsively theirs from beginning, middle and end. What's yours? Here's how to enter this exciting contest

1) Write your character's history in whatever format is most "in character" - a poem, a dossier, a journal entry, intelligence report, or a simple short-short story*. Whatever works for you. At the top be sure you give us:

  • Your Web Account Name/Account on Online Service
  • Your Email Address
  • Your Character's Name

    Your Profile might include (but isn't limited to):

  • Country of Birth/Origin
  • Education/Upbringing
  • Interests
  • Profession
  • Reason for being on Morada
  • Physical Characteristics
  • Family/Friends/Loved ones
  • Enemies

    *If it is a short-short story, then it needs to be no longer than a single page (12 point font, single spaced, normal margins - anything longer will be returned).

    2) Send your entry to Profile@simutronics.com (please make sure we have a updated Email for a "return address").

    3) Watch the official Modus Operandi Webpage every week to see who the winner for that round is! Winners will receive Island Custom Merchandise, copies of Mysterious Press mystery titles, and their Profile on "The Best of Profiles!" page.

    4) Submit a new Profile every week (or a rewrite, if yours wasn't a previous winner)! Keep creating, and keep writing. Send in your piece before the Friday cut-off in order to make in to that week's entries.

    The first entry will be selected on Friday, December 12 and subsequent entries will be chosen on the following Fridays. The winning Profile will be posted on the webpage within the following week. Entries will be reviewed a panel of GameMasters, who will then vote on the best for that week. Works will be judged on the basis of content, style, grammar and RP. Contest ends January 30th, 1998.
