  • Salt Lake District Attorney's Feb 2002 Letter to the US Attorney specifically concerning Jay Kunze at Idaho State University
  • Jay Kunze publicly declared in Feb 2002 that Idaho State University did not have any further problems after 1993. The US NRC disagrees in this 2001 Notice of Violation. Clearly, the current Dean of the College of Engineering at Idaho State University has publicly lied. This fits the pattern.

After 15 months of investigative work and warning, Idaho State University was reported in March 1993 for illegally distributing radioactive by-product materials produced in the on-campus reactor, powered by special nuclear materials leased from the United States Department of Energy. The materials were distributed in undocumented transactions to foreign nationals for use in explosive and aerosol dispersion studies conducted on isolated public lands to the south of Pocatello, Idaho. The University was cited for these violations, but subsequently, has denied the citations.

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission was responsible for allowing the illegal distributions. The NRC had reviewed and approved the Safety Analysis Report for the facility which clearly permitted production of radioactive by-product materials. But the NRC was negligent in regulating the facility. Previously in 1992, the NRC had been reported by the same investigator for breaching the integrity of operator licensing exams at the facility.

None of the illegally distributed materials have ever been recovered. Even worse, Idaho State University and the NRC were so incredibly negligent that no one even bothered tracing the materials. At the jeopardy of US national security, Idaho State University and the US NRC have shamelessly promoted themselves. This is a clear indication of national allegiance because the "experts" at Idaho State University would never admit being incompetent "backwoods quantum mechanics."
