Youth Triathlon Information

Event	Triathlon racing is now an Olympic sport and one of the fastest growing formats in the world. Sign up your child to participate as an individual racer or team member in the Westchester Youth Triathlon
Date and Time	September 28, 2002. Registration: No later than 9:30am Start time: 10:00 am (after the adult's triathlon)
Place	Playland, Rye, New York. All events will be held on the grounds of Playland and be marked and supervised for the highest safety standards.
Age Groups	Ages 8 to 14: 3 groups of participants: 10 and under, 10-12 and 13-14
Format	Swim: 200 yards; swimming parallel to the beach, parents can watch from restricted area on beach. Wet suits can be used but are not required Bike: 2 miles; 2 supervised loops in the Playland parking lot area; traffic restricted, very well marked. Run: 1 mile, scenic run around Playland area and nature preserve, finishing on historic boardwalk.
