This series of paintings was inspired by seeing an exhibit of exquisite gold horse trappings from Thrace, many of which were 6000 years old. Some of the articles depicted the Goddess of the region making love with a mortal warrior. I was inspired to create paintings based on the spirit embodied by these ancient works. My friend Tom Schulte has again honored me with his poetry.
