If you are taking your boat south this winter, you may be interested
in a publication that lists anchorages along the Intracoastal Waterway.
Some marinas are included where contributors have found special services
like the ability to do work on ones boat or free dinghy docking. The main
portion covers the East Coast from Norfolk through Florida. Anchorages
are listed by mile from Norfolk so that the Navigator can estimate his
evening position and find good anchorages nearby. The Hudson River,
N.J., Chesapeake Bay and the Okeechobee Waterway are included. This is
an extension of the guide formerly published by the Wilmington Power
Squadron. It has been updated, revised and enlarged. Although I am the
original founder and editor of the Guide, I am no longer connected with it.
If you would like a copy, send a check for $16 plus $3.50 shipping
and handling payable to Skipper Bob at: P.O. Box 391, Windsor, PA
17366-0391, phone (717)244-0081. I have just learned that Skipper Bob Reib died suddenly. We will miss his very knowledgeable guidance as we traverse the country's waterways. The future of the Anchorage Guide is not known at this point.
