"A taste for dramatic
minor key arrangements...
an expressive,wide ranging
piece of work that reveals
more on each listen." Stewart Mason All Music Guide

Sometimes things take a bit longer than we suspect they will, but in the end, is it worth it? Yes is the answer this time. Some explaination & introductions. Recording our last cd took a very long time. There are some great players & some fantastic songs on "SUSPICIOUSLY BLUE." Without its co- creators , this venture would not be what it is. Shig 33 laid down the meanest rock, funk only to turn on light 60's style grooves along with Edo Castro who wowed & worked the multistring fretless & electric stand up. Michael Molenda e-bowed & noised
only to transform into the most achingly beautiful string sounds on that blue Guild.
Now to take that to the stage & bring it to you? It took a bit longer still.
We are up & running with a few shows under our belts & more to come.
Luckly. we have added to our line up, Richard Gee on guitar, incredibly melodic
player who also is funky.
On drums, we have Kenny Feragen who loves all sorts of music & can play it all.

The band is from San Francisco & has a variety of influences. Michael Molenda, an atmospheric and multi stylistic guitar player, has roots in melodic pop & harder edged early punk. Edo Castro, virtuoso bass and Chapman Stick player, funk groovemaster, an intuitive accompanist fits perfectly in the mix with new guitarist, Richard Gee ( they attended high school together in SF). He is one funky player & a tone king . New drummer, Ken Feragen is inventive & brings many styles with him to extract the right setting for Eva Jay's always interesting songs. Together this sound is both explosive & exquisite, familiar yet new.
Do you hear something new with each listen? Yes.
