A Christian Prayer for our
nation.
On September 11, 2001 our nation
was attacked by an unseen enemy. They thought that they could bring our nation
to our knees with that evil attack.
Fortunately; they did
accomplish one thing! They changed our nation forever! Our nation is beginning
to turn to our Lord and Savior and, from our knees we ask forgiveness for our
sins and ask our Lord to intervene for us.
Father, as you promise in
your Word, our nation is now turning to you and asking your forgiveness and
healing.
2Ch:7:14: If my
people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and
seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
As our way of remembering
the men and women of this nation who sacrificed their lives, the First Baptist
Church of Quartz Hill, Junior Church kids have prepared the following cards
which we are sending to New York and Washington D.C. to help cheer and inspire
those working there to restore the damage done by our enemies. We especially
want to thank those men and women; Police Officers and Firemen, who raced into
the inferno to help as others ran in fear. Father, just as You gave your life
for us, they have given their lives in a similar fashion. As you look at these
pictures, please spare a moment in prayer for our nation and the families of
the victims. Also, please whisper a prayer for those who now prepare to defend
this nation.
