Welcome to the Iron Age Pages Plus

Iron Age ...

The Iron Age Page , my original site, was billed as being "for Survivors of the Iron Age Making the Transition from Mainframes to PCs". It includes both technical and recreational material and links, plus a few notes on the PC basics . Anyone who gets all the jokes on these pages has probably been in this racket too long.

... Plus What?

And with no user or target date, I was free to add new features pretty much indefinitely. So there's more!

Currently available search engines have impressive speed, reach and power. But their knockout punch is the vast number of finds they return. Here's a Search Tutorial to show you a few moves to protect yourself.

Blackjack is the computer wizard's game. My modest contribution to the literature is a simplified Blackjack Strategy -- ten easy to remember rules that cover almost all of what's in the four strategy tables.

S*P*Q*R is an on-line mystery game set in ancient Rome. Its release schedule is about one chapter every six months, so the players have plenty of time to amuse themselves. Walk through the City with the SPQR Companion .

Craziness has not completely taken over the Web. Here are some Rational Resources.

But if craziness is what you want, try some Stupid 'net Tricks . ("for purposes of amusement only")
